This guy is so stupid he can't even do what the courts order. Hopefully there will be more time added for stupidity!

Yeah, it's called a bench warrant for 'contempt' or 'failure to appear'. This will most likely add a few days!

At 46 cents a day making license plates or ironing sheets, it might be tough but at least there is some satisfaction that in the end he will do some time with some very friendly company...Might have to start a civil suit to recover any monies.

Glad to hear the POS sum bag is now off the streets. I'm shocked that his former employer stood up for him. Maybe he should have his head examined.
Now, go after the %&$@# in civil court. At least if you win, you can tie up his earnings for a loooooong time!!

honey,
No cash yet and none insight for awhile.
He is currently spending tiem behind bars, but was ordered to pay everyone back, but have no idea how long that could take if it ever happens, and not sure of any other solutions other then waiting.
But the important thing is he is not out scamming others for their hard earned cash, thats the light at the end of this long dark tunnel.

His prison name probably starts with a B and end with itch.

One could only hope so...............
Jim; In cases like this one, once they get out of the "big house" , their parole officer will set up a "payment schedule" where they have to pay x number of dollars a month (amount depends on their employment, usually) to the parole officer, he then begins paying back the debt to the people involved, usually pay the money back in the order the people filed a claim against the guy....it may take a while, a long while, but if the officer is doing his job, this guy WILL eventually repay all the folks he scammed that reported it........may take many many years, but it will get done........if he wants to stay out of jail..........
You've gone this far with it, so see it thru to the end............
David

David,
Thanks for the words of encouragement, not much else to do but wait now.
He was sentenced to 46 months and has to pay back approx $200,000.

There is ALWAYS some risk in buying an engine, even a crate engine, stuff happens. OK, your risk is reduced with a crate, but it is still there. The only 'fool proof' way I know of is to have the engine built for you using a VERY reputable builder, like KC, Gessford, etc.

I might still build it myself... but I'm afraid of missing a very expensive minute detail!!!!!
This thread amazes me!!! It's great that people go out of their way to let people know. I'm sure this guy would have gotten more people!

Youre right Excaliber, I ended up going with the Engine Factory. These days when you are checking out stuff someone is selling on the otherside of the states or the world there is always a risk as opposed to purchashing locally like we use to do.

Hey, quick update, this time with a little bit of great news!!
I actually received a check through the court system from Kent for $374.00, about 7% of what he owes me, but hey its more then I ever thought I would get, just hope they keep showing up every few months.
Just about got my RUCC built, so then I will be able to leave this behind me faster once I get the Cobra running.

Guess he got out of jail. Did you ever get a judgement against him? You can take that and a Sheriff and go "shopping" at his place for anything of value up to the amount he owes... It's amazing that so many years later you actually got something, congrats on the persistence part...
