I got my phone back last night and the story I am told is the guy found it on the table of the restrauant and thought it was his. He realized it wasn't and called me this past Monday at work. Nice people do exist.

Since my last post I have picked up the new nose to my coupe, ordered a new driveshaft, and ordered a wiring harness for my gauges and transmission. Also, since this week has been spring break for my daughters kids in Arkansas they have been nesting with us this week. I love it but not much getting done on anything except I did mow my yard last night.

I had my driveshaft made this week by Tulsa Driveshaft specialist and they did a remarkable job. Not cheap but quality work at only $400.00. Now all I need to button up the underside is a spendometer wiring harness. Does anyone have a source for the Electronic Speed O connector for a tremec 6060 transmission plastic male connector ? I haven't had any luck finding one. Just trying to do this thing perfect without cobbling up some radio shack connectors.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Actually, my office has relocated our Tulsa functions to Denver and I have been training new employees. Effective June 24 I will be retired an have a lot more time to devote to this build. But the good news today is I fired the coyote for the first time. In spite of all my careful wiring only half of my gauges work. The plan was to fire it up yesterday when I turned on the ignition and charged up the fuel system I had gas pouring out of my fuel line. I put about a gallon on the floor in no time.

Got everything cleaned up and hosed out the garage and let it air out over night. Today when I turned on the key there was no drama just the sweet sound of a brand new coyote coming to life.

This week I will find out why my tech, fuel, gauge, etch. is not working.

On another note we are re designing the windshield and it is almost done. Hopefully I can post pictures of the newly configured windshield (that is exactly like the original) and a video of the start. Things should start moving a little faster in a few weeks. 10 and 12 hour days are the norm lately just trying to get these new collage grads up to speed in the oil and gas business. He real world is a lot different than classroom theory. ☺

Congrats on the retirement!

That has to sound good. Congratulations on leaving the rat race. Let me know if you get the gauges ironed out, I have a fuel gauge that oscillates whenever I turn a blinker on.

Sounds familiar to some demons I had to track down on my last build.

Actually looking forward to June 24th although my wife is more than a little jealous and I believe she will be making me a list of things I need to do every day before she leaves for work.

A side note on the coupe: I got all my gauges they were not working to function correctly last night. I found out that my tach was not working because I had forgotten to ground my VSS wire (it's yellow in my wiring harness). My fuel gauge works best when I put in more than a gallon in a 22 gallon tank. My cooling fan came on as expected when my water temp gauge reached 180 degrees.

A new problem is my clutch is not engaging so I must re-bleed the thing which is a lot of fun but I saved all my red neck bleeding devises and if it works I will take pictures. At any rate the coupe is beginning to come together.

On another issue if you drop the end of a wire tie onto your headers and forget to remove it before you start the engine ....it will smoke and melt and ruin whatever part of those high dollar titanium header wrap they melt on. Just an observation!

I can relate Clois! I am trying it and I get a list and then follow up calls from my wife from her work! Almost want to go back to the grind some days!

If your clutch operates via conventional bleed line, try one of the Russell Speed Bleeders in the end. Worth every penny.
