Gunner - Were you hiding under a rock for month? On CC detox?
Gunner/Rodknock/patrickt = CC's version of the "Three Amigos"

Actually, it would be ERAChas, Gunner and patrickt.
Me no own an ERA. I'm just an innocent bystander, who needs to clean his car.

Nay, nay Amigo-Bug's got it right.. You spar and s*stir with the best of 'em.
I'm very pleased to remain in company with Larry and Curly---and they don't own ERA's either.

No buy yet. What I am finding is that ERAs are few and far between (as compared to SPF, for example), and the ones that are recently built are pricey. I am now thinking about other possibilities, for example maybe getting a brand new SPF and having Keith Craft put in a small block with 500+ hp and torque, for a price less than what a used, built several years ago ERA would command. (What do all of you ERA-o-philes think of SPF?) I have been at this for several weeks, and it's a little scary that I am still flip flopping about such fundamental choices. Maybe I need to slow down, take a deep breath. On the other hand, I rode in a couple this weekend, I definitely got the "must have" bug, and when I find the car that is exactly right, I'm writing a check for that bad boy. I am away for a few days, taking my 18 year old to New York for Spring Break. I will be back at this Sunday. Thank you all for the information, feedback, and advice. This site is an amazing resource.

Seriously, they're fine. But I would think long and hard about putting a small block in your car, regardless of the horsepower/torque numbers. That's a big decision. I know it's tough, especially with the warm weather just around the corner, but you have to take your time. If you want an ERA, then hold out for an ERA. In the long run, it'll be worth it.

Yes. I would take a guess that the majority of new Cobra buyers become new Cobra sellers fairly quickly. You have to make sure you get the right one for you. Both Superformance and ERA are good choices.
Most people out there in the world couldn't tell the difference between the two nor could they spot the difference between a small or big block. It's about what you want.

Most people can't tell the difference between a donor-built FFR and Larry E's Kirkham after it's gone through the mud.

Thanks for noticing. They don't call me Mr. Cellophane for nuthin'.
Just busy. Life is "interesting" in the Chinese-curse sense right now. Among other things, we're contemplating a cross-country relocation next summer, which involves shutting down two businesses along with all the the other usual hassles.
I might sell 707 here since it's now SB-100, and stop off to say hi to the Kirkham brothers on the drive across, though...

Well, I know you like that 707 number, but the Kirkhams aren't there yet.
