HSSS427 Scott First you need to rap the fuel line with the insulator foam tape and the fuel log to keep the heat from getting to gas to hot. Your fuel pump is a pulsing one so the pressure to the regulator is bouncing and the valve inside is going to open and close to the pulse. Drop your float bowl levels 1/4 turn and try the car. Your car like mine, there is alot of heat under there. Open the hood an inch, get aspacer that will not srcatch the paint and go for a drive, see what happens. You will bring down the temp under the hood by 20-30 degrees. You may want to rap your header pipes in heat shields. ERA makes some head shields for this. Even with the radiator at a angle down there is alot of air passing through it and having no where to go. Guess this is why the turds hood and nose was cut up and the grandsport has that louvered hood. You are all ready going in the right direction. Get an heat gun and see where you can isolate the heat from the carb and fuel system. Rick Lake
