What led him there, Rodney? Was it the time that you he asked for a little push when riding in the wagon and you proceeded to shove him down that steep hill?!?

You have to think out of the box...something you'd never expect... like a fiberglass bodied Cobra...Oh wait, they did that already. Nevermind

Aw yes, but in a Stratos...

Had a client who kept a Dino (Ferrari) at his ranch in Blythe in the late 70s/early 80s...treated it like one would a Fiat, actually. Kept a shovel on the passenger side...leather torn, carpet nearly gone, the puddles of oil it left everywhere helped keep the dust down on the dirt roads.

But what a song it would sing.

I had no idea that the Atom is so pricey. They just lowered the entry level price to $49,980. Seems like a lot of money to me.

Default Let me clarify...

Dean,
You've got it all wrong. He's my (10 year) older brother. And I can't remember how many times I got dumped off the back of our Honda 50 minibike.

Jamo,
My brother (as you may have guessed) has the Fiat Dino. He bought it in pretty good shape but you know how that goes. His cost per mile is, no joke, $30. And the mechanic is a family friend! And the song wears quick in my ears when we get passed by a Kia minivan.

How many 30k mile services can a Ferrari have with only 30k miles? One per owner. At least.

Doug,

Typical comment from casual Cobra observer: "Holy $#i%! Check that out!"

Typical comment from casual Atom observer: "WTF is that?!?"

Boy, if it's the Atom or a variant of same, I'm really going to be eating crow.

The sound of a 917 is something very special, a '6 just wouldn't be the same.

Well, then 427 Cobras should only have FE's and not stroked SB's.

Stop, I'm kidding, I don't want to start this month's "SB vs. BB, which is better?" thread.

Jamo,
How can I put this, a Stratos is extremely cozy (read "cramped") in the cockpit. However, next to a Kirkham, one of Gerry's Stratos's, Strati (??) is bargain basement price-wise.

Scarab would be nice, but its already being done as an expensive all alluminum replica so, I do not think it would be done;

http://www.scarab-motorsports.com/specifications.php

So it would have to be something that someone would be willing to pay more for, something already on the market and (I think) something that was originally aluminum - that their trademark.

So, what cars of that era were originally in aluminum that would fit the bill of interest with a price from 60 to 100k but yet is streetable?
