Ron

I will let you know this is supposed to be a very high Quality unit at a better price.

Ron61 04-28-2005 05:37 AM

Thanks Steve,

One dog down and three to go. Animal control can be useful at times if you trap them on your own posted property. :)

Kristen,

Want me to send you a head for the squirrel that was missing one? :D

Tru,

We are having really nice weather except it is supposed to rain tomorrow and that is the start of the weekend car show and Damboree parade. At least it is close as the car show is just two blocks from my house. But I am kind of tired of rain. And Mowing!!

Hey I found out why Lentek does not answer their phone.

They are under FTC investigation for misleading the public on their products. I was surprised since Fred said his super bark free worked so I kept reading.

The FTC is after them for their mosqueto (sp) magnet. The problem is real simple according to the FTC "It just does not work" They did a field test and found no added benifits from haveing one on. (how funny)

So appearantly they have sold out to the Koolatron company and they have assumed the fight with the FTC, now they are in trouble.

BTW Lentek did not make the super bark free, It is made in Germany. However they were the warehouse for that product. If you have one it came from them, one way or another.

Sharper image now has the smaller ones in stock and you can get them locally. According to the store in Southlake :When they are gone theyr'e gone. Sharper image will not order any more until the issue with the FTC is resolved. It has been going on since 2002, and is not settled yet.

The name of the "one" I am trying to get is "Dog Silencer Pro" I have found a web site where these are sold. They are $69.95 retail. I am trying to get to the manufacturer and sell them wholesale. I may go ahead and buy one and get the manufacturer name off the unit and go that route. It is advertised to cover 300'

I tried to cut and paste the web address here but I can't do it.

Don't give up on me, I'll get it.

Try this

Hey it works:)

Ron61 04-29-2005 05:50 AM

Steve,

Do you mean the link works or that you got one of the Dog Bark Pros and they work? After reading that I am going to call and order one as it should at least reach that dog across the street and the one next door. If it works as well with the battery, I can get it much closer to them. If one works well, then I will get another to use in the back.

Thanks man,

Ron :)

Mike,

Thanks for the compliment on the car. They have a small show just 1 1/2 blocks from my house and want me to bring it over this afternooon. Since it has a 20 gallon tank, I figure I should be able to get there and back without taking a can of gas with me. I am driving it more lately as it is just fun to feel that power. I do have to get a set of wheels and new tires as those are the originals and I am a little afraid of going to fast on 36 year old bias tires.

Ron :D

392cobra 04-29-2005 06:55 AM

Steve,
I'm impressed with your "seeking", you have turned it into an art.

What would be the life of the 9v battery using it that way ?
I really like the 300 foot range. :3DSMILE:

392cobra 04-29-2005 07:17 AM

Ron,
Everytime I see a picture of your Torino it brings back alot of memories.

I had more sex in my '69 Torino Cobra than all my other cars combined. :D :3DSMILE: :D

I think I need to find another one.

Ron61 04-29-2005 09:31 AM

Fred,

At least you really got some good out of yours. All I can say about mine is I am the original owner and it is in the registry. I did have two women pull up beside me one day and offer me anything I wanted if I would take them for a ride. Had to turn them down as neither of their clothes would fit me.

Ron61 04-29-2005 09:49 AM

Steve,

I just called that place and ordered two of the Dog Bark Pro units. They told me they do have a range of 300' and that the batteries will normally last from 4 to 6 months depending on how much it is used. That will be perfect for my problem as the worst dog is about 150' away. If you want, I can let you know how they work when I receive them. They are shipped vai regular mail and should arrive next week.

Ron

trularin 04-29-2005 12:31 PM

Steve, what do you mean, "it works"

Details!!!!

Kristen, I think Mike had a rather itneresting post on squirrels.

Ron, that is an impressive car port in front of the garage. Is that cemented into the ground?

flipper35 04-29-2005 12:40 PM

Very interested in the dog bark eliminator stuff. We have a set about 60' away that are always barking at each other. What was the link again?

Ron61 04-29-2005 12:44 PM

Tru,

Thanks for the compliment on the car port. No, it isn't cemented to the ground. It is anchored by 10, 4' long form nails and two of them have ground straps that go to two 4' long steel ground stakes that are driven into the ground. So far it has withstood some very hard wind and it meets almost double the snow load standard for here. Really makesa nice shade in the Summer to pull the cars out under it and in the Winter it is dry.
