Hey Mike.....you know what you wanna go to college for yet?
|
College....hmmmm.....
If I do go to college, I will probably get my degree from the Army/Navy, ect. Mechanical Engineering, Buisness Degree, I just don't know yet. The people at VoTech will probably reccomend a course for college when I go in to the registeration night this Tuesday...I'll post pics in my gallery of the shop.:) Partly Sunny My ARSE!:D :D :D :D |
Thanks Ron
That is a nice car, It kinda reminds me of the one I previously owned. |
I'm a Mechanical Engineer....I think it's right up your alley. If I were to do it all over, I would pair my degree with an MBA. They had the option to do it while I was in school...It was a 5 year degree vs. a 4 year degree. I really wish I would have went that route now.

Just got back from the Gene Latta Ford Car Show, Man o MAN! Cobras, Boss 429's, Boss 302 SHAKERS, end EVERYTHING in between, even a Thunderbolt!
Will upload pics in my gallery soon.:D |
I got to drive my first Boss 302 the other day. I was in love. I was not born anywhere near this era, so it just really excites me to drive a muscle car.
The only thing I didn't like was the horn control in the RIM of the steering wheel itself.....pretty funny when I was honking at everybody around just trying to turn into the driveway....hehehehe |
C'mon guys...only 14 more posts to this thread and we'll hit 3000!
|
Put a Boss 302 in my 1973 mach 1. Just had to, it was too good of a deal to pass up. $300 for the engine from some guy who mangled the car ( 1969 yellow mustang ).
I remember rebuilding it as my first balanced and blue printed engine. Had D Nicholas help. Man, that was a car. Oh well, the Boss 351 I have now is fun. Brent, what did you get done this weekend. I have a clutch positive stop, yikes, what a difference. Now, I am not sure what I will have to do to get some decent weather. it was 37 this morning. Damn snowed Sunday! I think I am going to do the reverse trick anyway. |
I didn't get crap done this weekend. Took the dash out of the car so I could ship the gauges out.
Bent like 2 hard brake lines....it was really a waste of a weekend. Not happy. |
Does the future wife go with you to work on the car??
Is she at all interested? My wife and I were planning on a nice little ride on Sat., but the weather turned to poop. |
She goes, but she hangs out with Mom or my grandmother. She has no interest in the Cobra whatsoever....
I guess you have to compromise on things though. I once dated a girl when I first started college that loved to drag race and could speed shift as well as I could....but she cheated on me. I would take a girl that had no interest in cars over a girl that would cheat on me. Katie's a good girl....my family loves her. It's a good tradeoff. |
Hey
The kids are wanting us to take them to see Yellowstone this summer. Is there anything up there we should not miss. We will leave Fort Worth, Texas and go up that way. We really have not decided on a route yet or an actuall departure date. We will drive the F250. I know Mammoth Cave is up there, Mount Rushmore, Grand Tetons. What else should we not miss? We have been to the Grand Canyon so we will more than likely go up through Pala Dura Canyon area in the Texas Panhandle. May stop by Pikes Peak. Being gone two or three weeks is not a problem. |
here's a post.
|
here's another.....
|
New pics in my gallery, too lazy to post them here right now. Boss 429's, Boss 302's, a Thunderbolt, assorted Cobras/GT350's. Will post R Code Galaxies/Comet and 68 GT500KR Convertible later.

Brent,
Did you manage to get the gauges out? Don't worry, I'm not in a rush to start swapping them out. Sorry about the bent lines, sh*t happens. Katie sounds like a keeper, who knows, she may develop an interest in the Cobra, but if she doesn't, that may be a blessing in disguise. My wife loves going for a ride in ours, but that is as far as it goes. No interest in driving it, works for me. |
Mike,
Nice pictures, looks like you got see a lot of cool cars. Thanks for sharing. |
Flip, I got the dash pulled while I was home. I took the gauges out yesterday, put them in their boxes and packaged it all up. It's ready to go out the door. You'll have about a month of Louisville newspaper in there to read while you're installing the gauges.....hehehehe
I didn't mean that I bumped the lines and bent them.....I meant that I was running new front lines and only got 2 of them bent and placed. :) It was just one of those weekends where everything should have went quickly and smoothly....but everything tried to bite me in the hindend. And did. |
Other new pics in Gallery....
