 Kristen,
A good set of lined gloves for driving are almost a must in these cars for cold weather. Also a cap that you can pull down over your ears. Wish I still had the one I was issued in Korea. And for long trips, I use ear plugs. I can still hear but it duts down the continual loud exhaust noise and I can actually hear people talk after gtting out of the car.
Looks as if we arein for another spell of crappy weather. It is 28 here this morning but supposed to be mostly sunny today with a high of around 55. But the glood and doom is forecast for Friday night and the weekend.

 58!!!!! Yes kids, it's 58 outside.
It will be 13 by late tonight.

So, I have the radio in and it sounds like poop. Looks good. started the car, while running turned on the radio and waited for my son to ask the question I expected. "I can't hear a thing." I responded with, "yeah, but it looks good.

Got to get better speakers.

Well, I think Kristen has arranged for all of us to ride with her.
How are we all going to fit in your cobra, Kristen?
Ron, I have loading problems when the engine is cold. Clears up when the engine gets up to temp. Does yours load up at initial start with the choke on?

 Tru,
I have no choke on mine and I have never had any real loading problems. My carb looks like the one one on the new add of the home page of the club. No choke tower at all. I just run mine at around 1500 for a few minutes and it idles great. May have to do a little fine tuning later on when the weather gets hot.

PEPE HAS LEFT THE GARAGE! come back, come back!!
Just a mite chilly this morning, a robust 48*. Took 30 minutes. Hubby was behind me in the Sequoia....
Went to Sears. Out of catalogs. Got an 800 number to call and get one. Hmm. Saw a nice looking tool stand, and the lowprofile jack. Torque wrench, digital tire pressure gauge, creeper. I will need the exact page/item # for sockets/wrenches, etc. I'll let you know when I get it. Hubby will get the above for me for Christmas! I think I get to pick up the quiklift....
Gotta go. Carpool time (real carpool )

 Kristen,
Don't forget that when you get sockets to get both the deep ones and the regular ones. Also wouldn't hurt to pick up some Metric wrenches. I don't know about your car, but mine have some darn metric nuts and bolts on them.

Funny, Earl! got your pm.... hehe. Mike will never catch me, now! I have the magic power..... 2 sets of sockets. Gary doesn't believe there is anything metric on the car. I'll take him to Sears with me, if he can go. Hubby & I had an "entertaining" time there. He asked what a "torque" wrench is for. I scared him a little when I acted like I liked the $2450 tool chest. Some more Christmas!! Tried out the jack. Easy enough, and can go in the trailer.
Turned out to be a pretty day. Still a bit chilly, but not as much as this morning! And, the wind has laid low a bit.

 Gotta go. Basketball calls.....

Kristen, I believe you looked at the same tool chest I want to get for VoTech (Hopefully I'll get in.) Is it the Huge black "Craftsman Professional" box?

yup, Mike that's it! But.... I don't think I'll end up with that. I'm not really WORKING on the car, just kinda piddling. So, I'm gonna get a smaller chest, that will just hold basic tools. I do like the ones with the power strip. We'll see, we'll see. The garage looks so empty! Even with that big ugly Yukon xl. I can sweep up the cobra side, dust the shelves, and tidy up a bit. It'd be good to get the tools, lift and such before the car comes back, then I'd have time to get it all sorted.
The Christmas decorating yard dude is here taking up the lights in the yard, after the monsoon we had yesterday! Bout time....
I have declined the bb games, due to needing to pack up my stuff for tomorrow! hubby went. Little cobra girls are home, too. Littlest cobra girl crashed on her new bike a little while ago. Guess she learned about centrifugal force.... going to fast around a downhill curve. Ouch!!! Bruised her cheek and nose! Nothing permanent; nothing scraped. Red tho', and hurts.
At least the hoodlums are fed, and I can get my stuff done. bigger cobra girl is practicing piano. Her first year, and doing great. Old macdonald 800 times....
Hey, is it true the "hey little cobra" Cobra is coming up on auction? Dontcha think it should be mine? Like, ya know, karma, it has my name on it and everything! 1.5 mil? Sugah daddy would certainly think that was a fair price, dontcha think?? !!!
I'd really owe him for that one. $40K a year teaching. 1.5 M/40K. Ok, math people, how many years teaching is that?
Sell Pepe. Sell the house. Sell the moody first born. hmm. getting there. sell the farm. sell all those silly cows.
I think "a-snake" has convinced me his isn't for sale. He got it in '86!!
more later...

no, ron, figured out the jack. I liked it... Didn't buy anything today, just looked it over. The sales guy was pretty cool. He kept looking at hubby like shouldn't he be the one checking things out, asking questions, but hubby just went along, and neither one of us volunteered any info! It was funny!

 Kristen,
The tool sales people out here are are used to women buying tools so they don't even bat an eye. After all, someone has to keep the family cars going. And we do have some very knowledgable women abut engines and cars. I think it is great and wish more would get into it.
As for the (Hey Lil Cobra), Cobra, just take some of your mad money and offer them so much they can't bear to turn it down. You could probably get it for 1.75 Mil. and avoid the auction.

She's like a little kid in a candy store. Lord help us.
13 this morning, actually 12.8, but who care about the .2. Had to put on a coat, if you can imagine.

Snow has been falling off and on, who know what will happen next. If yellow cats fell from the sky, I would not be surprised.

Guys and Gals, I think we are going to just drive to London and see what going on for the fling. You all are coming from the west and can snake ( pun intended ) your way to Ohio. All I have to do is drive south for four hours or less.

 Tru,
Kristen is really getting into the car thing. Didn't she post on the garage post that she has one wall of her garage covered with a photograph of HER. As for the tools, she may have to spend a year in NASCAR university to learn how to use all of them.
I see your weather is about as weird as ours. Two fair days and now cold, and rain again. It is either going to snow here or not is what the forecast on TV said. It is 13 and you put on a coat. It is 37 here and everyone is bundled up griping about the cold. A friend of mine in Texas e-mailed me that it was 11 degrees there where he lives. I can't wait until Miami, Florida gets a foot of snow.
