...and shop at Costco, listen up. This is NOT bad news, but something you should pay attention to. I have been buying Kingdom Pets Original Chicken Jerkey for my Springer. He absolutely freaks over these things. Tonight, my wife went on-line to search for other products (like beef jerkey). Well, the crap hit the fan for a moment. Apparently, for a short period in 2007 (aug-sep) a number of dogs were dying from renal failure after using the product. Yup, you guessed it, Made in China. But after those dates, nothing. So I went to their website (www.kingdompets.com) and browsed around. Took no time at all to find a link to Lab Results. And there, they post REGULAR lab results on an almost weekly basis. Guess when they started? Yup. Sep 2007. My guess is it was melamine. In fact, the ealiest lab results FOCUSED on melamine. Unfortunately, I could find no stories (yet) about what exactly happened.

So the point is, know what your dog is eating... and if you are using this product, then stay informed. I would hate to stop buying them... Olie loves them so much. But if I hear any more stories... then they are off the table.
