If it is ok with you I will let my cousin in Omaha know and if they have their hay all done by then he and his wife may drive down to Harrison and meet up with you and go part way on the trip. It is just about a 25 minute drive for them to the Hampton Inn. He drives slow. I would make it in about 15 minutes.

Ok by me? Heck yeah! I'm hoping to have a dozen or more cars, and if there's someone that lives in the area that can help with feedback on the routes, once I get them, that would be great.

Driving nw ar
I noticed your post about driving in nw Arkansas. We retired and moved to Holiday Island in January of this year. We are about 5 miles n of Eureka Springs on Tablerock lake.
Just about any direction you drive from here is spectacular, the Ferrari rally just ended here today. They had several days of driving different routes in the area, and had a blast from what I heard.
You might consider this area for part of your rally, and if you do, let me know, and I'll join in for some fun.

Friday after lunch, we will be in route from Mt Magazine, headed up Hwy 23 towards Eureka Springs. Hopefully we will make it there early enough to enjoy the town a bit.. Saturday, our route will take us through Yellville, Push Mountain Road, and Mountain Home for lunch. The return route is TBD at this point.

On an earlier post you mentioned reserving a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn. Do we need to wait to reserve a room or do they have a secret word to let them know we are there for the Cobra cruise?

Ok, I have reserved 8 rooms at Hampton Inn. Please PM me with your name(first and last) and contact # so that I can complete the group reservation. I need to know if you are coming or not by 10/3 to make changes to the group reservation. The AAA rate is $109/night. We have 5 maybe 6 cars coming from St. Louis. I think Jay from SW Arkansas will be coming, don't know about Wendell and Larry from Alexander, AR. Just PM me so I can modify the hotel reservation. And let's start hoping for good weather!

Got confirmation from the hotel, you can call and make your reservation using Supercruise as the reference for your room. This will keep billing straight. I've reserved 7 non smoking 2 Queen bed rooms and one smoking room. If we exceed the 8 I've reserved, they can add more.
1st day cruise route is set. Hwy 7 South to Mount Magazine, then leave there up Hwy 23, Pig's Tail towards Eureka Springs. 236 miles! Yeehaw! It's a fun ride folks, hope you can join us.

I'd love to join you guys but weekends are too busy with kids soccer and other assorted family stuff. Besides, I'm using up this years kitchen pass (and next year's too possibly) on a trip to Road America Oct 12th with my dad. I do know its beautiful in the Gaston Area (great resturaunt too). I've floated the White river there many times. Have a great trip.

If anyone is thinking of just meeting us for one of the two cruises on either day, we plan to leave the hotel parking lot at 8:30 AM each day so we have time to make the routes and get back at dusk. Hampton Inn in Harrison off Hwy 43 is home base. If you're concerned about the weather, the hotel has an overhang we can park under or we will bringing tarps to string up between our trailers to park under. I always talk to the big guy upstairs and order great weather.

Got confirmation that we will receive a group discount using Supercruise as the reference. Any more takers for this event? Here is the first day's cruise route - I call this on the teardrop cruise http://goo.gl/maps/6tAAx

Got the 2nd day route planned - I call this one the Bowtie cruise http://goo.gl/maps/0890t - We'll stop at Gaston's for lunch. I think we've filled up the initial 8 rooms reserved. I've requested a few more. Jump on board if you want to attend. Long range forecast looks good too. Of course it will change, but something to think about.

I hope y'all have a great time Tim. We had a great time on our Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico trip even with the rain. We wished you and Linda had been able to make it.

Me too Gordon, but with her surgery, even if we had planned to go we would not have been able to. We're hoping she's well enough to go on this cruise, but not sure.

Stopped for gas after lunch today and was surrounded by snakes. Of course my wife asked why there hasn’t been any progress on my FFR. She asked this as we were sitting in HER Camaro that was a big project priority last year.
As I mentioned to the Superformance driver, if you guys need any tool support or an enclosed place to do some work just shout (gave my number to the STL Superformance) or send a message here. I’m in between Harrison and the Missouri border.
Have fun down here.

Kerry, sorry I missed you. Saw the nice Camaro though. I had to go to the other station for diesel. We had a great time, no mishaps, no breakdowns and about 600 miles cruised in 2 days Pics tomorrow from me.

Glad it was all good. The roads and terrain are a big part of why we moved here. Hope you keep coming back.

Kerry,
Just where do you live? Is it anywhere near Omaha? I was born there and grew up mostly in that area. My cousin lives in Omaha now and I would like to make a last trip back to see them and see how Omaha and Harrison have changed in the 50+ years since I was last there. I spent a lot of time in Harrison and Branson and have probable walked almost every inch of the Ozarks when I was a kid out exploring between my Father's jobs.

Hey Ron,
When the “four lane” bypassed Omaha about a dozen years ago the town felt it. You can get low octane gas, lunch, a tire fixed or mail a letter in Downtown Omaha (maybe a little more stuff). I’m outside the city limits so not technically one of the 169 residents.
I’m used to being away from services. In Central California we were 10 miles from a gas station so we knew what to expect.
On the other hand, Harrison and Branson keep growing.
Give me a shout if you you’re going to make it back for a visit.
Kerry
