Kerry,

I sure will. My cousin's name is Richard Sanders and he has two of my old cars. The Cobra that I raced and my 1965 Comet. Give him a call and he and his wife would be happy to meet you. When I was last there the population was 91, so in 50+ years Omaha hasn't grown to much. I knew they had bypassed it with the new 65. But they sure ruined Branson in my opinion.

Great pictures Tim! Great time also. Made it home before the rain started, hated to miss the tail gating!
Here's some video from the cruise. It wouldn't allow me to upload the HD version. Something about being too big!
I have about 4 hours of video, this is just a little section of some of the roads we went down.

An early head's up that we're planning our annual trip to NW Arkansas 10/23 - 10/26. Hope you can make it! This annual trip takes us on some beautiful scenic highways in Nw Arkansas. If you've never been there, it's quite a treat. Just see the previous pages for some great pics of past cruises. Basically, we all travel to Harrison, Ar on Thursday, we cruise about 200 miles on Friday and again on Saturday taking different routes both days. Lots to see and best of all, the parking lot conversations.

Have fun and I wish I could join you. I may be coming back to Omaha one of these days to visit my cousin. I haven't been back there since the mid 60s, so I know that Harrison and a lot of places have changed. But I always loved the Ozarks when we were living on one of my Grand Father's farms. I think I have walked about every mile of them.

Sounds great - We've not had a coupe before, but more than welcome I will post details as we get closer....I usually reserve a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn in Harrison, AR and we use it for home base. Ample parking for trailers and cars as well as a great lobby for wrapping up the day with a Margarita :-)

Great!!! May or may not trailer as we are so close. Recently changed out the ECU and program for the Roush injection and it has been much more reliable than the Accel ECU and program. We have taken 3 trips out and back that are 2 hours one way with no problems.

Ok, can I get a show of hands on who plans to come so I can reserve a block of rooms at the hotel? Thanks, hope to see you there.

I have reserved a block of 12 rooms at:

Hampton Inn Harrison
121 Hwy 43 East, Harrison, Arkansas, 72601
1-870-365-0505

6 members from our club are coming which leaves 6 up for grabs for whoever wants to join us. Just call and reference Gateway Cobra Club Supercruise and my name, Tim Mauldin. May give it a day or two to get in to their system.

Weather permitting, w/o a top nor wipers, thinking of joining in your cruise in October.

Curious, if you know...Better to go from W. Memphis via US 142 to Harrison, or I40 to Conway then US 65 to Harrison?

We have been the I40/US65 route to Branson, but Mapquest threw out US142 first as shorter and faster.

Wondered if you are familiar with that option.

Posted this in the other forum too:

There is still ongoing road construction on I-40 that can back up for miles at times, depending on when you go through. There is an alternate route to go I-55 North to Hwy 64 West to Hwy 67/167 South to Hwy 36/124 West to Hwy 65 North in to Harrison that isn't bad. There is a little construction South of Searcy, but should back up bad. We welcome you in and if there aren't any rooms at Hampton Inn left, the Holiday Inn Express is directly across the parking lot. Both have lenient cancellation policies, so I would go ahead and book a room.

Tim
