I was with the group of folks at Santa Clara. I got mine today as well.
And yea on the crayon comment. My first though was..."THIS is an SB100??"
Then I thought "This IS an SB100" Then I started smiling Well technically not an SB100-but a certificate of sequence
My best wishes to those who are still hoping nothing went wrong. UGG! What a nightmare.

Hello All
Got the official certification in the Mail last night....one page official stamp.
The GT ran for the first time on the street yesterday, my wife and I are going to SoCal this weekend to drive it for the first time , put 200-300 miles on it to make sure all works as it is supposed to and then ship it into my garage.

Mail runs slow in our area too, but you would think being between SF and San Jose that mail wouldn't take this long. Assuming of course, that I'm actually getting one.
My original number that fateful morning was 052. The guy who's paperwork got shuffled into mine, got his SB100 certificate on Tuesday. What number did he get? Old number 052. Gee, surprise, surprise (in my best Gomer Pyle voice).
I actually called the DMV manager and asked her what's going on. She said she would check for me.
OK will someone cede me first in line for next January 2, 2009.

While we are on this topic, it would be very interesting to know how many California SB100's were taken or absorbed by the Cobra community exclusively, regardless of make. Does this pique anyone elses curiosity? Maybe after things settle we can get a count from here and other forums. For those of you in other states this may seem like it is overly discussed but it is becoming an increasingly BIG deal if you own or plan on owning one here in Calif.

I'll bet very damn few of the 500ea SB100 numbers ever wind-up on a Cobra.

Hey Doug, I'm afraid to call home and ask. I feel much better not knowing as opposed to knowing it's not there.

what is the monetary value?
My friend found a 32 ford on some site and it said "bill of sale only " it would have to be reg. as a 2007 , after hearing about my ordeal he declined the deal to find one with a 32 vin # .
My question is what extra value does a sb100 add to a california car?

Got mine today I think it had something to do with driving the beast to work today.
Ok we hate the process but once were done what better place to drive a car like this than CA.

Wetdog.....
Having a clear SB100 registration here in California is a big deal.
What is it worth --- That is in the eye/pocket book of the buyer.
I for one would not buy a car unless I was willing to got through the process myself or it had the "Golden Ticket" referred to in this thread. I chose to go through it one more time with the GT and if at some point I build another car I would do it again.
