They are very quiet for sidepipes (at idle)
But when you put your foot into them they emit a nice throaty grumble.
Be aware that there is a tab at each end of the baffle, both of which need to be drilled for and mounted. I did only the easy to drill front tab at first and received a nice rattle at idle  for my laziness. I then removed them and took the time to mark and drill the rear hole. An angle head on a Dremel, with a shortened pilot bit helps here.. then you can drill the hole to full size from the outside after verifying the accurate center of your pilot hole.
