Very nice work!

Did you weigh the engine as you intended to dress it out for your car?

I sure did, the 351w from clutch to intake with all accessories was 559 lbs, the Godzilla dressed the same way was 618.8 lbs, both with no fluids other than residuals after draining. The new intake will likely weigh more than the old so say 70 lbs total for the engine side. The TKX is 40 lbs more than the T-5 so a total of 110 lbs more there. I don't think with the boost in power it'll be a big deal though.

That's waaaaay impressive JB.

When you think about it, today we can produce boatloads of power compared to the cars back in the day and it is delivered in a well mannered, reliable engine package. Your car will be very enjoyable to drive and reliable to boot.

Killer job and great pick in your engine selection..

From my 1981 Mercury Zephyr wagon with the 557:

If the 7.3 had been available 12 or so years ago, I may have chosen it over the 385-series.

Good work on the Cobra! And if you could provide a short example of its sound, that would be delightful!

Tom,
Very fitting plate, I picked mine up about 11 years ago and still holds true to this day, but could be much worse.

I was over the moon when they came out with the 7.3, I couldn't see spending the money for a built FE or SBF when I'd be deep into it and only marginally more power than the LS stuff I've worked with. I also couldn't bring myself to putting an LS in it as it just didn't seem right. The Mod motors or Coyote would have been nice but I seriously doubt they would have fit.

The best clip I can get is on Mast's IG page, they still haven't given me the harness so I haven't even heard it run in person:
Mast dyno test

Here it is when they displayed it at Holley's Ford Intergalactic Fest:

JB,

Pure music! It will be interesting to hear it once it's in the Cobra. The new headers and sidepipes will probably give it a little more bass which should be a fine enhancement.

You are doing an enviable project.

Thank you sir, I'm sure looking forward to hearing it rumble to life, I might just shed a tear not gonna lie. I believe the side pipes will give it a very good sound, I mean the 351w even sounded mean with under 300 hp.

I hope to see more of these swapped in Cobra's, there are only 2 others I'm aware of and those were done by professional builders. I'm just a guy in an old barn with no insulation, but I do have a lift and a lot of toys...tools so that helps.
