Terry,

Yeah 514 is fantastic, but it is the same "majic number" of 110 hp off the crank horsepower. I was thinking I would gain some using Ron's super-duper sidepipes. I think there is more there, and the dyno was showing rich during WOT, so I am would "guess" it has more in it.

Thanks for the comments!!!

Ok, I'm a new guy, so maybe I don't know how things are done on the website yet, buy I cannot see any of the pictures. I get a white box with a red X in it. I see pictures on the other thread for the new picture loading software that so many tried out, but I really want to see this build. Any suggestions?

Thanks

yes, IE on a dell using windows 2000. Soon to move to XP though.

Love the pics I see on other threads. However, I notice that you are in St. Louis. I make it up that way every so often, so maybe we can meet sometime. I'm only 3 hours down the interstate (44)from you.

Try dumping your temporary internet files.

Well,...

Tomorrow is the BIG day.

I get up early and drive 600 miles to Plano to pick up my car.

We have had tuning trouble, but that would seem to be in the past. I am told the car runs like a dream.

Lots to report on the injection system, and tuning thereof. But first, get the car and see for myself how it runs.

I was thinking that years from now I will not be so quick to remember the problems, but more enjoying the next mile in the car.

I will be home Friday, and should be able to post results and pics!

The car looks great! So how does she run?

That Dynatek system looks sweet.

Ah, Dynatek...

Well, it runs great.

The jury out for me still. We had a bunch of trouble with the tune, and the associated issues that follow delays (Money). So before giving a more complete opinion, I need to drive the car for a while.

But it does run great, and power????? Un-believable power

The clutch is not broken in yet, and I need some miles on the motor (normal miles), and then I'll post some vids

Eric,

The car looks beautiful. Very nice indeed.

I'm a little curious about the issues with the Dynatek tuning, since the tune right out of the box is supposed to be very close.

No, it wasn't close.

But Dynatek spent a lot of time and money to get the system running better. (We all spent time and money)

But like I said, I would rather get a chance to see the proof in the puddin so to speak, and then give an overall report.

Right now I could not tell anyone with a higher hp FE to go buy one. But the 302's they seem to have down to a science.

Craig
Thanks Craig!

I am trying to get my schedule together to go, as my daughter lives in Columbus now.

Of course I would love to see the crew again!

The side pipes are as advertised Craig. They purr below 3000 rpms, but 1/2 throttle or more and "HOLY SMOKES!"

What do you use to polish yours?

Hello GA,

Finally got to see the pictures, and the video. Looks great and sounds even better! Congratulations! I hope to make it up that way some day and possibly meet you and see the car.

Are there any shows in Missouri during the summer?

I finally got plates today, and while it was 60 degrees out, I took 2715 for a spin to a local car cruise, putting 40 miles on.

Dynatek Classic Injection system? If it has a draw back, it's that the system is throttle happy. When you dip into the throttle, the car goes! 40 miles is not enough to really judge, but I think a different (better) computer (4 quadrent) would be a tuning plus. But the system delivers. The car starts right up, idles at 1100 rpm for 20 seconds, then drops down to 850 rpms, lopping nicely

At decel, the engine "flutters" through the pipes. I'm not used to hearing that sound. The engine doesn't switch from accel to decel well if you are not careful. You have to watch the accelerator pedal to keep from minor lurching.

The engine really dictates what the car is doing. Maybe a steel flywheel is needed. You would not want to lift going over a hill at speed. The clutch is my friend

Manners on the highway. At 70 mph, I am at 2350 rpms in 5th gear, just perfect sound and throttle. The 496 is a beast. Crazy power, Nice job Keith!

The Avon tires? SICK!! They stick like glue, even to cold cement.

I will get some more miles on it, and report back. Videos will be coming.

E

That's one heck of a engine bud. Wish I could have been in the seat with you.
Were getting 4"-6" of the white stuff this weekend.

I don't recall what gearing and trans. you have ? (I assume a 600 TKO)
With my 331's and TKO, I'm running 2,000 rpm at 60 mph. Can't wait for my KC new alum. 482 build.

Give me a call when you can.

3:55's in the rear, TKO600, and 295/50/15's

I was a little worried because the Second Strike calculator said I would be over 2500 rpms at 70 mph with the .82 final gear

http://www.secondstrike.com/Technical/GearCalc.asp

But it all worked out
