hehehehehehe
Jim I know the answer to yours....do you know the answer to mine;)
Jay |
Alan & Colleen don't have a 500; they have a GT.
Jim M. (mirrorman???) has one. twin of mine. :D k ps, it is 'mirrorman's' birthday today. june 26. what a coincidence. happy bday, Jim. :D |
Well I do not know the answer to Jay's question But I do know the answer to Jim's.
I was raining very hard and the roads were wet. Gary Sharpata (sp) almost lost his trailer. I was behind him a car or two and could not believe he managed to save that from coming all the way around. I remember I could see the doors and front end on the truck and the entire side of the trailer when it slid sideways. NICE SAVE Gary! |
Jay
Update with a little more info ?? |
ohhhh alright
I have not confirmed it but I think there are actually 3 gt500's now in the club. One is a 69 and one is a 68 convertible, the third I do not know which year.
Two are owned by collectors, one is owned by an individual. One owner was in Tulsa and two were not. Two owners have really never met. One owner almost every Texas cobra owner has talked to. Two owners have Cobras now, one had two cobras but doesn't have one now. Two of these cars are for sale that I know of, maybe three if the price is right. Are ya'll confused enough yet. John Ross now knows but he ain't tellin. Jay |
are you talking REAL gt500 (vintage) or CLONES of vintage 500's??
I don't know that answer!! :D and... i haven't a clue!!!  |
Jay's hints were confusing, but the truth is in there. Here is another hint:
I know one GT500 vintage and one 2007 GT500. John Ross knows these same TWO people, who incidently both have cobras. |
no no no no
We know who has the new GT500's. Who has the vintage 500's?
This is so simple, I have one. Who has the other two? Jay |
Jay
Grasping at straws here OK.... So consider the source One of these cars were recently wrecked? Is that correct? |
well Gary Sharapata, but I thought we were talking original 500's. Are we not??
oh wait, you have the clone and he has a clone, but you recently got the vintage one at the auction in Tulsa. i forgot!!!! :D ok.... so who else?? I'm guessing Sam Pack, as he's a collector, and he also has an original Cobra. Am i close???? ;) :D :D :D Quote:
but YOU and Sam Pack are collectors, and you both own Cobra's, so I feel pretty good about that part. Hmmmm. now who is the other one.... Let's see. Lee A. has a GT Hertz... not a 500, and Phyllis has a beautiful '68 California Special.... hmmmmm must be simple enough!!! :D |
how about Pat Shelby??? no... not everybody has talked to him.
hmmmm. Santa??? We've all talked to Santa!!! |
I am guessing that since John Ross "knows" maybe he has picked up a new car and hasn't told anyone yet.
He has certainly been around long enough to have talked with everyone. |
no... not John. He is busy working on his gt40.
|
pathetic gueses
Not Sam, he has not been active in our club and I'm not sure of how many he has. He has seen mine though. One owner has been mentioned in this thread recently. The other owner's car is for sale.
How difficult can this be? Jay |
Jay,
You even got me on this one. Mark Winkelman sold his two 500s so he is out, Dan Hardiman's Shelby convert is for sale (he's talked to a ton of members being in insurance) but his is a GT 350 so he is out. Your right on Sam as he is not in club and I don't think even has any vintage 500s but surely has several new one in the warehouse. |
Dang, Jay
You may have to spell this one out for us. We can't seem to get close. We may be ready to give up and you give us the answers. You certainly get the prize for stumping us the longest. I would have thought for sure Gary Sharapata would have know the answer to this. |
Jay,
I think it is pretty safe to say we give up. Tell us the answer(s), and then start another question. |
Jay,
Hey buddy we need some input here. |
Jay,
You have great questions for the trivia but you have to come and check on us or this thread will get stale. OK Next Question. I have a question that has been asked before but due to the time frame the answer may have changed. I am also not certain of the answer but I think I know it. I know of two maybe three people that will know the answer. Question: Who is the only person to bring a cobra to the annual gathering in Austin every year since the very first one? |
Could that be John Russell?
