Oh,I see now !!!
He still charged you to sit in your Cobra. Starting to understand how he got that CSX. |
Nice Tenacity Fred
Well here is the way it went as I remember it.
Gary had infact Sold the Cobra to Kristen, and she had taken possession of the car. At the Event Kristen actually Sold the car back to gary for $1.00, with a bill of sale. The transactions was legal and binding. Therefore Gary did in fact own a Cobra at the Austin Event that weekend and Kristen no longer owned the car. After the great weekend Gary Sold the Car back to Kristen. |
Next Question Anyone..
|
The funny thing about the whole thing..... well, he might have bought it for the weekend but he didn't get the keys!!! :p
Colleen and John Russell signed as witnesses. All documented in my book, of course. He actually 'owned' it for a month- I forgot to buy it back til the next month's meet!! |
LOL I didn't know that... ;)

Next Question Anyone.
Fred You should post one since you were such a good sport on the last one. |
Alright.
What is the longest and the shortest period of time (not tanks of gas  ) that Gary Sharapa has owned a Cobra ?? |
I don't know but here is a guess.
I think he owned the Blown Cobra the longest. I also think that is his first one. I know it is the one he owned when I met him. I think he owned the second one the shortest for only a few a few weeks. I am only guessing though. |
Shortest owned- the Kirkham. :)

You might be right Kristen, but the black car with gold stripes wasn't around very long before it went to Mexico.

I think John Russell, Drew Baird, David Tittle, Matt Tice, Tom Meadows and/or Jay might beable to answer this one. Tom and Jay probably know both.........Here's a hint, the longest was a Componet Craft (Red with White Stripes)..........
|
I do not even remember that Car.
You sure do change a lot. But hey if you can sell them and make a buck good for you. I do not know the answer to this one. |

Gary,
My guess on the shortest timeframed cobra owned would be the SPF w/ the 514 in it. I can't remember exactly how long you owned it, but I know it wasn't very long. David |

I know the Longest was the Red with white stripes Component Craft Car. LOL   The shortest has to be the 514 car. |
OK Fred
We need another hint. |
Fred,
Time is ticking on this. In order to get this thread alive and everyone participating when some one post a Trivia question you need to keep up with it until it is answered or we will have to move on. I'll give this one through today. We need some more input. |

I have been curious about it and thought it would be a good way to find out.:) Next Question Anyone. |
Fred,
Your so funny....... :) ;) Maybe we need to get Gary involved. He will have to get his records out. Heck he has had so many he may not know off hand. I will admit I have asked a few questions that I did not know the answer to. For example I didn't know (or rather I forgot) that Gary Morris had a car at every Austin event. Let try to find the answer to this one. Someone email Gary and ask him for some input. I don't have his email address. |
I had the Component Craft (Red/White Stripe Cobra) for believe it or not "4 years!" Actually met Tom and Jay at the Texas Shelby meet one year when the Shelby Club's car show was at the Double Tree at LBJ and the Tollway in the mid to late 90s.
The Cobra I had the least amount of time was the Royal Blue with White Stripe Superformance with the 514. Drew and I drove down to Doug Reeds and picked it up in January and I sold it that summer about 7 months! I had the Paxton Car 2 plus years and the Kirkham FIA about 12 months.........There you have it. Pretty close David!!! |
