Yes,
As far as I know John Russell is the only TCC member that has taken a cobra to the event every year since the first year. Funny thing. Jim you were one of the two that I knew would know the answer. LOL (mine are too easy and Jays are too hard. :) ) |
Next Question:
Anyone |
OK here is another easy one.
Who blew up their engine in the cobra three times in a single year? |
I too have had a Cobra at every event since the first one......even when I was in limbo.....have the paperwork and witnesses to prove it....John Russell was one of the witnesses.....
how did I pull it off??? |
I know...... ;)
|
That's right Gary I forgot about that!
I'll leave this up for a bit to see if anyone else knows the answer. How about the blown engine hat trick. Any ideas. Hint: He is very well liked by all of us and lives in the DFW area of the TCC. |

He ,for sure, fits the second part. |
Yea poor John is in a category by himself on that one.
OK Let's finish up Gary's question before going to the next one. Gary Morris has also had a Cobra at every Austin gathering. It was a challenge but how did he pull it off? |
Quote:
I believe you "borrowed" Pepe, aka Humper, aka Thumper from Kristen for The Event. |
that's close, Fred, but nottttt quuiiiiiiiite!!!!! :D
k |
Yea, very close but still not quiet correct. You are on the right track though.
Keep trying :) |
He delayed finalizing the sell to Kristen until after the event.
|
Nope, Kristen had already taken ownership and possessionof the Cobra prior to that event.
Fred, You are so close. So Close... Hints: Gary had indeed sold the car to Kristen before the Austin event that year. The answer does have to do with that sale of that particular Cobra. Kristen is indeed a very trusting person. Gary is indeed a very trustworthy person. |
hehehe, Steve. I'm surprised you remember!!
EVENTUALLY I'll post a pic that shows what happened. :) |
Oh yea, I remember. I could not believe the story, so I asked Gary and he told me the scoop.
Come on folks everyone was talking about this shortly after it happened. We have just about given it away several times in the last few post. :) Hint: Gary did sell the car before that weekend, and went into the weekend not owning a cobra. How did he own a Cobra for that weekend, when Monday rolled around he didn't own a Cobra any longer? Kristen had already taken possession of Pepe` AKA, GEM. |
Kristen,
We will let this go until Monday, midday and then you can post the answer and pictures and a new question.. Come on folks time is ticking on this one....... |
Gary rented/leased it from Kristen.
|
OHHHHH man that is so so close. Wow I can't believe this.
If we were kids playing i'd say you were "on fire". However, that is still not the correct answer. You seem to be the only one trying though. |
After Gary & Kristen consumated the deal before The Event,Gary offered to deliver the Cobra by enclosed trailer.Gary had just purchased a new GPS for his tow vehical.
Some how he "mistakenly" input the coordinates to the hotel for the Spring Meet and didn't notice his mistake until he saw all the Cobras in the hotel parking lot. Gary got on the phone to let Kristen know of this truly unfortunate mistake. A deal was soon struck...Gary wouldn't charge her delivery costs from Mesquite to Austin to Sunnyvale . Kristen could drive to Austin for her first TCC Annual Spring Meet and would get to sit in her Cobra while Gary drove. |
wow, fred. you have just veered OFF COURSE so badly that i couldn't sit here and let you suffer with it!!!
wayway wrong!! you were closer before. ;) look at the pic i 'moved to the front' of my gallery. I believe it was the '05 meet. I bought the car AFTER austin in '04. My check is dated March 4, 2004. We had a good turnout today at the meet. Hope you're having a wonderful and relaxing time at the beach. :) K |
