You can change it to mecanical if you want to.
You can modify an old style mechanical cross over and linkage (an old chevy type). I guess Fords possably had it also.
I have always been a chevy guy. This is the first Ford that I have owned.
I guess you could set it up to pull instead of push. That is unless you want to change the bell housing and clutch fork. At least my cable clutch is a pull anyway.
You then could add different holes in the cross over to change the throw of your clutch fork.
It would be a quite a bit of work and the cable seems to work fine and has for quite a few years.
