Default Faster?

Okay, the Viper or Cobra? Bring them both to Byron (have a friend drive one). I am sure someone would like to go head-to-head with the Viper.

Everyone in the club registered @ windycitycobras@yahoo.com should get a notice for the Byron SDpring Drag Race Day.

Looks like 30% chance of rain.

Hmmmm... weathermen you can always count on them;
Partly sunny, scattered clouds, slight chance of rain, cool with a chance of a warm up?

That summs it up folks...

Meteorolgy isn't an exact science----

and then there is the difinations----scattered, less than 50%, different scattered layers can add up to broken and then on to overcast!!!!

Chance of-----well, thats a hard one

Percentage???? % will happen, % won't---if it doesn't happen, what will???

I taught metorology for 2 years, flew for 40 and found that the big difference between flying and being in one place was that in flying, just looked for possibility of what the weather would be for a few minutes/hours, and like in racing or boating, what the weather would be like for hours or days in one spot

Lot od wheel spin, rev limiter chips kicking in----

Took Jimbo and Barb Neely up to starting line to show/explain the lites and what to expect when they got up there

Both paid attention and listened carefully--i went to the burn out box and guided them back into the water and sent them on there way

Jimbo got into the 12s which was his stated goal and Barb's car ran 10.6 / 124mph after a hellaeous smoky burnout---someone has and will maybe post some pics

as you know it was cloudy, some rainy areas and cool, I think there were 9 cobras there that ran and a couple more that just drove up to watch----several were notably MIA

I have the record for the worst repeated 60 foot times. 2.5, 2.4, 2.2, 2..2.... Someone forgot to tell me how to launch without fishtailing. Actually Jerry called it ahead of time, he said I would most likely bog or smoke the tires on my first time out (unfortunetely it was the latter - every stinking time). I wonder what the car could have done with a better launch. We had 6 runs in my 1pm, then some guy red late model GTO left his transmission on at the starting line. They couldn't push it off the track, so a bunch of us went home.

Mike was the man, small block and I think he ran 11.1 or something. I can tell you, the back end of his cobra looks really nice - never saw the front of it, but the back was all good. It was a good time!
