Lovehamr, that is the best animated avitar I've ever seen! Anyway I don't even own a cobra yet but I was at a local grocery store oogling over a parked cobra when a pretty hot gal said, " I like your car."

While at stop light down town, kid on a bicycle...

"Dude... that car is f*****g sick!"

Getting gas this past Sunday before a drive in the country and two guys pulled up to the pump across from me , looked at the car and said .... "that is one bad a$$ car " . I just smiled , thanked them and drove off .

I had just swapped my cast-aluminum oil pan for an Aviad pan. The new pan had a large nipple on it that a vacuum hose could be fastened to to help reduce crankcase pressure if need be. I just stuck a small plastic plug in it as a temporary measure.

I just had crossed a small bridge in the nearest town and gave it a little shot going up the hill. Plug popped out and hot oil went all over the headers. So much smoke I could barely see.

A lot of people around that day. I'm sure I got lots of recognition.

ps: I walked to teh hardware store, bought a rubber chair end (like a walking cane end) and a hose-clamp. Fine after that.

Stopped to fuel up the other day and was surrounded by fans.Had to makeup an excuse to leave. It still feels good, much better than a trophy sitting on a shelf.Great feeling to climb in (with top on)and fire up those 550+ horses.

The BEST times are when you are driving next to a BMW/Mercedes/Audi/Lexus with the man driving, and the woman in the passenger seat smiles at me in the Cobra. I can imagine the conversations that followed in some of those cars......LOL!!!

My cobra is green, so I guess I'm good!;)

One of the many memorable cobra moments.

I had my father in the car with me last weekend. I "briskly" went around a car and must have hit second gear pretty hard. When I got to the light the guy I passed said "Hey, better take it easy on the shifts you almost snapped his head off"

I actually hurt a coworkers neck when I took him for a ride. He wasnt expecting the wrath that a cobra can dish out. There was some sick enjoyment I got out of it:D

Well, I just purchased a completed FFR.

on the way home I got:

6 thumbsup's
4 gawking kids
2 "nice car"
1 "what year is it"

and a partridge in a pear tree.

I suppose this is a never ending thread and I just posted a couple weeks ago. But, this is worth a post.

We had a rare 70 degree day today, so I went out for a 40 minute ride on a fun route I have near by. On the "good" part towards the end I got behind a big slow SUV. My passing opportunities werent good although I peeked a couple of times. About 5 miles later at a stop sign the passenger door opens and a large man gets out! Now im thinking $hit was I following too close, is his wife driving, is he going to kill me:eek: He starts with Hey...... I say ya... "Man this care is awesome! Its my dream car, this thing is amazing, it sounds great" and on and on. SO I exhaled and was happy to tell him about the car. Never a dull moment when you drive a Cobra. I love it!

Ok, this past weekend I took it out for an extended cruise & to take some good picture. As I'm parked on the beach taking pistures of it some guy comes up & asked me if he too caould take a couple of pics.

he says he was driving by, saw the car & had to turn around & come see it up close.

This past weekend I took the Cobra and parked it on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, and let the passersby have their picture taken with the Cobra. One of the salesmen at one of the businesses has witnessed this for quite a few weekends, and said that my Cobra is "probably the most-photographed Cobra in the world".

Not bustin' your chops here, but are you saying you drive your Cobra to Rodeo Drive regularly to "let the passerby have their picture taken with the Cobra"? Interesting life you lead:rolleyes:

rollinggeorge 11-13-2009 05:41 AM

Every time I roll her out in the drive to clean her up...I meet new people. :)

Yesterday met a new neighbor in my hood who has a Ford GT in the garage with a FFR under construction. :MECOOL:

Proves Aluminum (not just Steel) is capable of magnetic attraction. **)**)**)

Can you post pics?

dcdoug 11-13-2009 05:57 AM

We have lived in our current house for a little over 2 years and still had not met a bunch of the neighbors. Since I got my Cobra in July, we have met nearly all of them.

There seems to be a constant pilgrimage to our garage whenever they hear the car in the neighborhood. There is no "short" car project because they always involve 30 min of telling the neighbors about it or hearing the stories of how they had my car on their wall when they were a kid.....:D
