Variable speed very important especially for a "newbie" to buffing/polishing. Orbital must be a good thing although I have never used one the idea is "right on!"
Which ever buffer/Polisher you go with start with the softest pad you have, then work up to real cloth/wool.(You should never have to use a wool pad on the "queen" or what ever you have named "the" beast! (Buttt...... if you can't resist the temptation, go ahead... I can fix the burn throughs!
)
Now to active points, do you and Me a favor (Never did get to see her in the daylight!) either make a written record of
ALL spots that I may have missed or need more "buffing attention", or you can do as I do at this point, just tear off small pieces of masking tape and place them on the spots that need more attention. The area on the left side of the hood, almost to the frontal edge at the stripe edge, the one I pointed out to you with remnants of the "razor blade scraping lines"- please leave them if they don't bother you! I want to see how much
if any "shrinkage occurs over the winter!
