I just stuck a #9 on my Mustang. If it's still there when I get to the track I'd like to use it..

wow this track is great. Creace ,Johan, TC, Agingracefully + Jr, John Owen + others are all here, as is the spydee. I have not run yet, but will. It is hot ans a fan is a good idea, and they sell some fairly cheapo tent type things at walmart.
The funniest thing is I do not mind the heat as much as I would if I was out sitting on a stupid beach.

We've already had a great weekend and can't wait for Tuesday. Johan's cars are awesomeb! Dave is washing out his driving suit after a few hot laps in the Bill Elliot Taurus with Johan qnd everyone hopes for a turn in the shotgun position.

See all of you at the Track--

Rick

Just loaded the plastic Cobra and plan on getting about 3-1/2 hours of sleep before I get on the road. I hope to meet up with Ed and Tom in Jacksonville around 11:00 but it will be tough.

God Speed guys and see you there.

There are about , I empasize not sure, 5-7 covered parking spaces at the house available if there should be indecent weather. Don't drive the Cobras in the rain if you can help it, but if it rains during dinner, there is some covered parking.

How about a Willis 100 report for the dweebs that couldn't make the event of the year

Randy

ps
I'm still working on the car - had a minor setback Sat - utility knife won the battle - lost the day getting stitched up - now I'm down to one paw for about 10 days.

Randy - There was more good food, beverage, gracious hospitality, and wonderful people than I had any right to expect. Wish you were here. My roadster was voted best in show, perhaps related to the fact that it was the only one there. The drive home from Johan's Hilton Head place to my Savannah digs was 1.5 hours in the rain, my wife and I laughing all the way, and that was just the opening night - on to the track tomorrow.
Hope the hand is OK.

There were 65 people for dinner because I refolded the napkins, and there was a tropikal storm for entertainment.

Talking

Even better than last year! For those who couldn't come, you really missed a spectacular two days.

Johan-- Thanks again for being an incredible host. You really went all-out. I'll figure how to post some pix before the weekend is out--those Hoters girls with you and the Lola should make a keeper photo.

Beautiful Cobras and other exotica, generally coperative weather, great folks, food and all the driving most of us could handle really made for a spectacular event. No major calamities, no destroyed vehicles or injuries-- who says we caqn't play nicely with others?

Roebling turned out to be the perfect venue since it allowed everyone to run at his or her own pace. It was great to see Johan's collection of cool rides-- the GT-40 was spectacular and the Winston Cup car defied the laws of physics--how do they get those big things to handle so well? The Lola was awesome and my favorite, the RSR looked to be scary fast.

Erik and I had a time to remember, Johan, thanks again.

Rick

What a wonderful time! And Johan was the perfect host. Those of us were there know, and those of you who missed it should never miss another. Food, fun and fellowship with other ca r crazies-all the while my family played atthe beach. We are back home now to decompress.

Thank you Johan and all! cb

Johan
All I can say you do not have to buy my friendship but giving me a chance to get free laps at a great track does not help. You and your wife went way above the call of duty with the pre-race day party. Glad I could help with the cooking but you have to thank Daisy Jones for her expertiese in cooking.

Sorry I shortened the run time by bursting into flames on the cool down lap. I was trying to waive a Porsche but he just stayed by my side so I figured something was wrong and saw my oil pressure going crazy so I shut it down and coasted to a stop at a corner workers station. He was shooting his extinguisher into my hood scoop before I could get unbuckled. I got the hood open and he finished the job. I had my oil pressure extension break so I sprayed about 4 quarts of oil onto my hot headers. Guess I can call Havoline and tell them that their synthetic Blend burns pretty good. I will call them right after I kick my mechanic's butt. Uh how do you kick yourself in the butt?

I got the car fixed tonight and most of the yellow dust out of all the nooks and crannies. There is very little damage but the underside of the hood has memories of the Willis 100 stained into the paint. Cool battle scars

Happy Birthday to Johan and Willis and I look forward to another one of your birthday parties if I am invited back.

P.S. Jim Pomroy, Ed Kamptner and Tom Joned kept calling me Fireball Moore at dinner. Do you know why they would do that?

Almost forgot to mention Spyderman. That is one strange looking pinto and he will sneek up and pass you when you never saw him comming.

I think he came in first in the Naught pretend not really a race group not 3 willis 100.

Next time the Cobra Guys will gang up on you and pull three of your 4 spark plugs off. then we can get far enough ahead of you on the straights to stay ahead in the curves.

Those German cars were fast in the corners but up to 120 we could hold our own on the straights

The Winston Cup cars were awsome sights and humbled some really fast Corvettes, cobras, porsches and BMW's.

The LOLA was uncanny fast and it was running bad must have been the chevy in the back.

Ruble,
Did you sign up those four young ladies to our club? I think we need more new members from Hooters for a better draw at our events.

Ruble -
Your post describing the flaming end of your outing seemed to be missing the sting of disappointment I would have felt if I had been in your situation. Now that the pictures have surfaced, I understand why. It looks and sounds like everyone had a great time.
