Dan,
Our wipers are supposed to park on the passenger's side (as original). If yours don't, there's something wrong in the setup, either within the wiper motor or the wheelbox installation.

Hmm - guess I need to check some more originals out. The photos of original street cars I looked at this morning parked on the driver side. Impossible to reverse with the ERA wiper arms as they are bent to only park on the pass side. If parked on the driver side the blades would be sticking straight up and down.
Interesting - here is a thread on an original that shows parking on the pass side.
CSX 3360 At Palo Alto Concours 2011
Maybe this other one is a negative image or something.

This has come up again and again. The interesting question is why some of the very high end replicas are parking over to the driver's side. Foot pedals coming up from the bottom, slanting the radiator just right, yeah I can understand that they might be a bit of an engineering nuisance, but parking your wipers? C'mon, that should be pretty easy.
Edit: You can peruse some nice originals on Sundude's flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/3808920...7629081440216/

Yeah, but my understanding when these photos were orignally posted on the forum was that this was an original Shelby car. And it looks original. Possible it could be a continuation model I guess - but that wasn't what I remembered. And I looked at a couple of others too. I guess this evening I will have to search back and find the thread where these photos were originally posted. I've been using it for a screen saver for a year of so, so I hope it's an original.

Naaah, I'm pretty sure I recognize the car and the place. That was the 2007 Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance at the Donald Trump National Golf Club. Ol' Shelby and Bill Krause were the Grand Marshalls that year. I can't remember the car number, but I'm going to say it's what we affectionally refer to as a "continuation car." I'm sure there are a few guys on here that will remember it now that I've bird-dogged 'em.
