				 Details, details...
After talking things over with Doug, Peter P. and Jim Inglese, we decided to swap out the single piece fuel harness for "octopus" fuel lines as were used in the original comp cars. Jim already has a fuel block fabricated and will have it installed this week. Below is CSX 2558:

That's pretty amazing. I'm really glad you decided to follow through on this project and not abandon it. Even if you let the car go to someone else after a year or two, this will be something that you cherish the memories of all your life. |

Thanks. It has been a lot of fun. The enthusiasm from the ERA team and the support of members here has really made it a special experience.

No detail is too small for Jim! Should have the new fuel-lines as well as the throttle linkage installed next week, and Jim plans to post pictures on his site to promote the availability of this set-up. Just like Doug, Peter P., Bob and the others at ERA, Jim goes all out to exceed your expectations. These guys are the varsity. I feel lucky that I found them. CSX 2557 sold
One of my "inspirations, CSX 2557, was sold at auction a week ago for a $1.6mm. A nice write-up about the car with pictures is linked below:http://www.streetlegaltv.com/news/1-...srrc-roadster/
I like the dual sidepipes, but will leave that "upgrade" to another time. |

The Fuel log is a great addition. Looks super cool! Two Things I experienced with mine, FYI.
#1 it cooked the fuel the first run. I had to slot the uprights which lowered the heat transfer to the fuel manifold.
#2 Keep the hoses as low as you can. Mine vapor locked on me, took me a while to figure it out. I filled the bowls up with fuel after I shortened the hoses a bit (which took some of the arc out of them). Haven't had the problem since.

Just got some pictures from Jim Inglese of the new Weber setup and throttle linkage. He plans to post these on his site. Looks yummy to me! Can't wait to fire it up!
For comparison purposes, here is a pic of an original 289 comp car:

				 Some more from Jim Inglese
Jim sent me two more pictures this morning of two critical components he had fabricated: the waterneck with the fuel log attached and the footbox throttle arm. |
