As I understand it, the blue and white one that is next to the lift will be #1 on the list and mine is right behind...

Actually, when you were by Jeff's car by the front door, you may have tripped over my engine.

There were a couple of motors in the assembly area, each carefully covered with a plastic sheet ... just waiting to be installed ... one of those must be yours!

Jeff

Thanks ... I took a lot of photos, there is so much to see!

It's interesting to see all of these cars in various stages of competition. The guys at ERA sure are busy putting cars together.

Very cool. It would be like working in an OB delivery room where all the babies came out perfect. You know, I offered to pay Peter to let me come and work there. He declined.

Patrick, every time I go there, I see something else tucked away in a corner; it's amazing all the things they have there.

Jeff, seeing your car out in the sun makes it look all the better doesn't it?

I only took about 100 pictures, and got sunburned on the top of my head...

Wow, what a bunch of gorgeous ERA's. The silver, the blue(s), the red, all super duper choices. I've always liked those FIA wheels, I almost got those instead of the S/C wheels. Jeff, Ray and others, I enjoy reading about your builds. Keep the pics and info coming. Thanks.

You know I saw that...and decided to keep my mouth shut.

For me, it solidifies my decision to get a car that didn't require paint, since the spectrum of colors contains WAY too many nice hues. I may have been the all-time Numero Uno Cogitater for the good folks at ERA due to the paint color decision.

In fact, there is a second 427 with dual rollbars under way, but it is beneath a plastic sheet behind Ray's car. It is dark grey/silver with black stripes. The two dual rollbar owners are friends, according to Doug. I guess ERA will build anything for anybody...

Silver and all manner of blues are very popular at ERA right now. Doug said that they hadn't had a red one for awhile, but, while I was there, another FIA went to paint, and the owner is planning on painting it red, just trying decide on which shade.

I found this red AC Ace (the forbear to the 289 Cobra) with black wire wheels and polished knock-offs listed for sale at $165k. I like the color combination!

More pictures here:

EDIT: Actually, it is an AC Bristol, not an Ace...

FYI, this is the car that gave me the idea of the white fender stripe I had Tony add to my car. It is a right-hand drive FIA-bodied car extensively raced in the UK and still active on the vintage circuit:
