AHHHHHHHHH, theres nothing like a big block through open headers in the morning. First drag race of the season, 440 Max Wedge Charger, 87 Stang with a 408 and straight pipes, assorted chebbys, ect.
BTW, the only thing that broke was a Chevy. (cheepo pushrod crapped out)

Ron- just re-read your last post very carefully...
"...this last week has been very trying to my patience and my faith."
Given that Patience is probably your BH, who is Faith?
If she's your daughter, never mind.
But if she is like, um, your housekeeper, or like um a "friend," we could like, um... talk.

hey, UT. glad to see you around. Ron isn't married, has no kids. (that he, uh, I know about )
He was referring to his health issues, which seem to vary from feeling ok to feeling poorly. Patience and faith.

took this pretty little pic last evening....
another shot....
you guys sure have been quiet around here. What a beautiful day in big Tex yesterday and today. Took a roll of pics of the cobra in the bluebonnets, and a few digital. The digital turned out a lot better. Surprised me. The film had too much flash, or not enough. Oh well.
Missing you Ron. Hope you're feeling ok. Kids are out of school tomorrow. (unused snow day)
They 'took' the computer all day today, and probably will all day tomorrow. I'll sneak on when I can.... )

Kristen,
Those are great pictures. As Mike said, you got everything just right. You should blow them up and hang them on your garage wall. Looks lilke beautiful weather there.

Thank you, thank you!
The largest that CVS (eckerds) will do is 8x12. I'll have to take it to a real camera shop to get it bigger. Will wait to see how the 8x12 looks first....
This location is about 4 minutes from my house. 3 if you catch the light right... I've passed it for 3 1/2 years, knowing someday I'd take my kids over there and take a few pics. So, it wasn't my kids! Just a minor detail.... There's one good one with 35 mm film. I'll scan it in- ya'll let me know which one you like best!!! Kinda like a one man show on CC. (Glad we've got this thread which is good for all kinds of ramblings....)

well, one more, with 35mm film....
one more, after this one... then ya'll can quit looking at bluebonnets!!!! thanks for humoring me.....
my buddy, Joanne, who goes on most of my cobra trips with me, came over Saturday evening to hang out and have pizza. Well, she went to the 'photo shoot' with me, to be the technical advisor. I wanted the front 'goodyear' to be right side up; you know concours like, so she directed me to drive forward til it was juuuussst right.... didn't worry about the rear...

YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH
DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute....... Work this out as you
read..
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that
you would like to have chocolate. (more than once but
less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold)
3. Add 5. (for Sunday)
4.. Multiply it by 50 ...I'll wait while you get the
calculator.............
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add
1755....
If you haven't, add 1754
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number .... do ya?
The first digit of this was your original number (i.e.,
!
how many times you want to have chocolate each week).
The next two numbers are .......
YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)
THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2005) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO HAVE AT IT !!

So, you did not take one of Joanne? More great shots!
Yes, this is a good thread for venting and expressions of "current state".
One can not tell what a face to face meeting will yield. However, the entities of this tread are friends in my book.
It is a great day today!

Started on small engines in shop class today, made a bet with two people that we (we meaning me and a 'bud' of mine) could have the engine tore down and put back together twice before they had theirs put back together. Seeing how today went, I think I will be $10 richer by Wednesday.
Kristen, wish I could take pics half as good as you do.

Mike,
Sounds as if you are doing well. Now if you want to run a small engine I have a weed eater that I just finished doing most of my fence lines with. Finally got so hot I had to stop as it is humid here today. I almost had to tear my shirt off it was stuck to me so bad.
And as for Kristen's pictures, you have to be really fast to leave the camera hanging in the air, run pose by the car until it snaps the picture, and then run back and catch it before it hits the ground.

Earl,
The age puzzle wasa kick. Some people have a talent for figuring out that kind of stuff. I just have enough trouble making it work.
Now for the car. When are you going to really get hard at it? Once the chassis is ready and the body is on, you will be amazed at how much you have accomplished. If you need help painting, they have a sale on rattle cans here. How many colors do you want?
Tru,
You should be able to take yours for a drive soon. How is the weather there doing now?
