Hey CG, I'm still waiting??????????????????

trularin 01-19-2005 11:32 AM

Good, I sure would hate to do that.

SO, what is the game plan for the get-to-gether???

I hope I get to see you all at the fling, even if they don't have it.

Hey, Earl! short memory going on here. My in-laws take all their grandkids to disney when they are 6-8 or so. Well, my girls are the "last to go", and it is scheduled over Spring break. My sons went a few years ago, with my nephew, who is between my boys' age. My sister in law went to "help" ride rides, etc. Since it's my girls, I'm the one who will go to "help". (yuck on the rides)

Well, the Texas CC is having their spring meet the same time! :( I'm having to miss the spring meet. My car has never missed the meet, (with previous owner, Gary). So, I'm kinda bummed about it. Now I'm working on being able to do both, with disney, etc. from the start, and the texas meet at the end. All a matter of times, flights, etc. Now my niece, who is 16, said that she planned on going as the "helper" for my girls ever since she had her turn! Sooo, maybe I won't go to disney ( :( ) (although was looking forward to the trip) and just to Austin. Or maybe if everybody works around my schedule I'll do both! Hubby and boys are going skiing in Colorado. Separate vacations work well for us. Probably next spring break (06) we all will go skiing. Who knows.... So, that's the story on disney. We went to Legoland in San diego a couple of years ago (had a wonderful time), but haven't made it to Disneyland since I was around 12 years old!

That's the scoop. More on it later, as it unfolds. How close is Daytona to Orlando? I'm guessing not very close.

Kristen,

Use the map feature on the Internet and it will give you the miles and driving route that is best for from where you are to where you want to go. It will also give you the estimated time to drive that far.

Tru,

I actually saw that picture of Kristen on the random pictures on the home page and just couldn't resist. You should go browse her gallery. Some really nice and interesting pictures in there. I thought about down loading that one and doing a little work on it then posting it but decided not to. :D

Ron ;)

EarlsflyinCobra 01-19-2005 11:58 AM

CG, Its about 45 miles to Disney from here. Keep me posted. If you do come try and make the Friday or Saturday night car show in Old Town, just about 8 miles outside the Disney gates. Earl

hey,littlecobra 01-19-2005 12:40 PM

Yeah, I know about the map feature, Ron. Just lazy today...
Hey, Earl, that's pretty close. We'll see what's up closer to the date....
RON. You are not allowed to mess with someone else's photos. At any time. This is the moderator speaking....

Mike,

Great picture. I envy you.  I just coudn't take it any longer and I went for a nice long drive. I was wearing a light jacket but had to stop and take it off. It is now 70 and just perfect. Got the car good and warm and we made the final adjustment to the carb. It was just off a little on the idle and the pressure was 9 pounds so I dropped it back to around 7 1/2 to 8 pounds. Now tomorrow I have to do all this other stuff I put off when I get home from taking my little dog to the vets. Then tomorrow afternoon I have to go pick him up. But that will give me something to do so I am not worrying about him. Man, is it great out there. Wind blowing at 80 MPH and everyone waving and shouting. One very small burn out to impress the kids. And our traffic cop. She just smiled and waved. Life can be good at 70 degrees and sunny.

Hey Mike,

Are those Cobra tracks going out toward the tree?

Come on out here and you can take mine out for a drive. :)

Ron :JEKYLHYDE

LwCwb 01-19-2005 03:45 PM

I wish.

If you let me drive it, you might not get it back:LOL:

Ron61 01-19-2005 03:51 PM

Oh, well if you don't bring it back, I have access to a 50 caliber sniper rifle. :D
I let the guy that builds the racing engines around here drive it and he came back with a smile from ear to ear. He said the only thing he had trouble with was the clutch and brake are to close together, but he was impressed at the acceleration. Also he said he tried a couple of corners and was really amazed at how well it handled. This from a guy that thinks anything less than 500 cubic inches and 750 horse is a truck engine. He is the one that built the Eaton unit up and did all the rear end work for me and he also re-built the big block in the Torino Cobra. Now he wants one.

Ron   %/

Got to love this weather. Want me to send you some pictures when I mow the lawn tomorrow?

LwCwb 01-19-2005 03:54 PM

No, thats Ok, please dont do that to me.

Ron61 01-19-2005 05:20 PM

I'll trade you some pictures of me mowing for some of you running the snow blower.

Ron :D

hey,littlecobra 01-19-2005 06:34 PM

LwCwb 01-19-2005 07:09 PM

No, I dont want to take any pics of El Toro, its bad enough we have to have a snow blower.:(

G.R. 01-19-2005 11:04 PM

Lil Mike
You must not have read the "teenager's contract" very well.

It states in BOLD letters "Items" that from age "13 to 19" teenagers are their parents grunts subject to their parents whims, thus you get stuck with the snow blower, the weed whacker and lawn mower, the trash, cleaning the family cars, etc.
non-inclucive.
