alright, if I give you the money, Mike, you could have the satisfaction of building the HLC cobra for me!!
|
I might not give the car back if I build it!
|
Kristen,
If you will give me the money, I will buy the real HLC for US!! :D Ron  Mike, Throw El Toro away and lengthen the driveway. You are young and need the exercise. Then if you don't get enough, I am sure that Tru would not mind you coming and shoveling his driveway.  Ron %/ |
I dont need no exercise, im in shape. Round is a shape.
|
Mike,
I know. I am not fat, I am just to short for my width.  Ron :) |
6 More til I can post my 1000th (1000 will be a new thread for me:)
|
How did you fall so far behind Kristen. In the 800s you were right with her. Forget welding, learn to type faster.
Ron :3DSMILE: |
She Cheated!
|
Mikie has worked hard for his 1000 legitimate posts!
so. who's gonna build me the ERA/hlc 289 car?? huh? huh?? |
You could always have Era build a turnkey for you. I think they charge 49,000 something for a turnkey 289. 302, 4 speed, jag rear, and so on. You could probably sell your Era for about 50-55, maybe even the upper 50 thousand range and get the one you really want....... or if you dont want to wait, buy a used FIA and have it repainted.
|
you just make it sound sooo simple....
I think, tho', I'll just stick with my very nice ERA, and talk sugah daddy into picking up the real one for me.... he loves me.... what do ya think it'll go for? 1 mil? 1.5 mil?? |
Im good at that.:)
If the right buyer is there, it will probably bring somewhere in that ballpark. |
Whatever it goes for, it will be a bunch. Amazing at what a car that you could have bought in the 60s for $6500 costs now. I want a time machine so I can return to the 60s for about 6 hours. Then when I get back, I will own the Cobra market. :D
Ron :D |
Lets see here, if I could go back to the 60's with $50,000. I would bye 2 427 S/C's, a 66 GT350R, a Few cammer motors, a 69 Convertible Yenko Camaro (I would sell it as soon as I got back:D ) A 69 4 Speed Boss 429, and a Yellow 4 Speed Boss 302.
|
Now I can go start a thread celebrating my 1,000th post:)
EDIT: I made it! Happy 1,000th to me, Happy 1,000th to me.:D |
Mike won't be posting today. He has a sore arm from patting himself on the back yesterday for reaching his 1,000th post. Mike, go shovel snow until the armis better.
I watched the news last night and boy is New York and some of those places getting hammered. Power out I believe they said In Manhatten abd they were asking allpeople to take a day off so the emergency crews could try to get the city streets clear for today. Also cold high wind. :( Makes our bitter cold of 25 degrees seem like a Summer heat wave doesn't it. :) Ron  |
1 More hour of freedom until I go back to school.........
Yes, it is bitter cold here, 0*'s with a -10 Windchill, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! |
Well, Mike learn something important in that school that will help you to move the snow and ice. :D I still think a great project would be a frame up cobra and you hammer out all the aluminum body on body bucks just as they did originally. Chuck Linquist of the BACC out here did that and built a Daytona Coupe. Then once you get it finished, paint it the correct colors and sell it to Kristen as a repo of the Hey Lil Cobra car. ;)
Ron  |
I survived. Two tractors and four people for two hours.
Steve, if you venture by, send me some info on the revolution. I think this thread is getting a topic again... BackOFF, BackOFF! WOW, where did all that snow come from??? Mike, this would be a great project. Stainless frame, aluminum body...oh wait, that's Kirk...ham. Kristen, are you going to the fling?? Revolution?? :3DSMILE: |
Tru,
I watched some of the pictures from the storms back East last night and it is really something. Man, I will take our bitter 22 degree cold any day over what you people have. Even New York City was a mess. Hey, if you need more shovels, let me know. I can get you a good deal on them by the dozen.  Ron :) |
