sure the non bias refers to cobras, not every braindamaged idea out of
canada. and how much do you pay for gas when oil actually bubbles to the surface in the more northern parts of canada(i have seen it) they must be airheads up there.

Am I the only person that will be very happy when this election campaign is finally over? Of course, the bad news is that they will start unofficially campaigning for 2012 in another year or so.

Wayne, no you will not be the only one. I will be glad when it is over too. Then we learn who will be the POTUS that is screwing us. I thing we are screwed either way, so I quit following all the BS. I don't want either of them in, so we will see when things pan out how bad it really is.

i agree wayne but from quebec its pretty watered down there. how do you think we feel, around here people giving each other the middle finger, to garbage being thrown in our yards, farging political signs everyfreakin-where.
its dumb all over and no end in sight. actual voting day will not be the end.
litigation over voting fraud, the blame game will go on. and so on, and so on.

Wayne,
I have never been so tired of political crap in my life. And just the other day I was watching some show that had Hillery on it for a few words. And most of her words amounted to the fact she would be available to run for president in 2012. We haven't even gotten past this mess and she is already starting to campaign for then.

Well that didn't take long.
Actually, we get the American election campaign almost 24/7 even though we have a Federal election campaign of our own underway up here at the same time.
Wouldn't it be nice if A) the US Presidential campaign was limited to several months, B) the candidates focused on the issues instead of mud slinging, and C) if the parties and their followers showed a bit more tolerance for their opponents? Unfortunately Presidential campaigning seems to never end, mud slinging is the top priority, and the 2 sides seem to have absolutely no respect for the views of their opponents. I guess that is why it is difficult to get good people involved in politics these days.
The only real difference up here is that an election campaign is limited to just over a month and there are very tight spending controls in place.

Couldn't agree more.
Here in Nova Scotia we have municipal elections at the same time as the Federal. If you watched our debate on at the same time as the US VP debate, it was hard to know which was more dissapointing. When did politics stop being about representing public opinion and became all about getting into office. It's all just a load of bullcrap.

I've sat idly by and read the comments of the Canadian delegation as they commented on how stupid our choices are for people running for office and how our country is constantly messing up the world. So I'd like to take this chance to give my opinion of the Canucks.
First of all you guys have an election going on and I don't think you've seen a single post where we comment/criticize on what's going on up there in lala land. You think we fight with each other well you guys fight over what language to speak. How dumb is that. Figure out how to get the French and English to work as a single band of Canadians.
Secondly, don't you think we're a little tired of you guys being the port of entry for drug supply into our Pacific Northwest. Why not control all of the pot that you send us? And on the subject of sending us things how about a little stricter immigration control so all of your jihadist Islamists can't sneak over our borders and create mahem.
Also, what's this crap about mixing tomato juice with your beer. Are you guys nuts?
Any of you guys been out beating any of those poor baby seals in the head? Stop it.
And last but not least don't you feel a little ashamed that over 75% of your population lives within 90 miles of our border where you can leach off of everything that we've built? I guess it makes for a much shorter trip if someone invades your country (which God only knows why they would) so you can run down here with puckered butts and hide behind us. Why not spend a larger amount on defense so you don't have to depend on us to protect you. Better yet why not move half the population farther north and develop your own country instead of depending on us and then criticizing us for our decisions.
Irritating isn't it? Now you know how we feel listening or reading what you have to say.

I hope you are not insinuating that we do not have any good beers down here. You need to try a Shiner, Fat Tire, and a whole host of other beers that kick some serious butt. I love me some beer, and some tomato juice, but a red beer is just nasty. Never did like it.

I love Shiner beer. One of the main reasons...besides work, that I visit Texas all the time. There is finally a restaurant/Sports Bar that has it up here. Unfortunately, they want $6 bucks a short glass for draft!

Yea when I was in Cali it was considered an import. I asked the bartender, "when did Cali secede from the US?" Last I checked Brewed in Texas would be a domestic beer. The Shiner 96 was one of the best brews that they have come up with and I hope they bring it back as a permanent line. I have a couple bottles of the Bavarian Black Lager left at home still. That is some dark strong beer. I like them strong, but this is stronger than Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. A bit much for me, but every once in a while I get in the mood for it.

I honestly don't understand how or why anyone could passionately support either of the candidates running for office. What a pathetic choice we've been left with. I certainly understand the passion for republicanism and democratic ideals but neither candidate seems to be in line with either of those party's definitions. Sadly, Oboma is more in line with democratic ideals than McCain is for republicanism ideals. Unfortunately, democratic ideals are simply wrong for America and Oboma is wrong for America as well. Now we're all left to choose the best of the worst. I just can't bring myself to think.."I'm for republicanism in America and therefore I'm for McCain". f**k that. He's a bumbling idiot.
If you support taking from others to give to others (that would be liberal democtrats) then I guess you have a choice. That's what Oboma represents. On the the other hand, if you want to move toward a true republic society, (which you should be) then we really don't have a strong candidate to bring us there. McCain and Palin are a laughable choice to support needed republicanism ideals.
A democracy is simply a stepping stone toward a republic (what we should be and what our country was founded upon). Democracy might be a good goal for a country like Iraq. It's better than what they have now but it's not what WE need. Neither of these idiots have our best interest in mind and neither candidate is for governing the government but rather governing the people. Take a look at this video by The John Birch Society and ask yourself what form of government you think might be in place here in America today.
As far as our Canadian friends are concerned, if you don't like what's going on here in the good ol' USA then keep your mouth shut. You will never come even close to the sacrifices we've made here to build a nation. You take all that is good and you condemn what is bad without sacrifice.

You are being a bit harsh, aren't you? I have never said that you or anyone else was stupid. Canada and the US are the biggest TWO WAY trading partners in the world. Canada couldn't get along without the US but on the other hand we are the biggest energy supplier the US has. Canada and the US have had their differences over the years but we are one of the best friends you have.
I think that this whole idea of terrorists getting into the US via Canada is greatly exaggerated. For example, the US media played up the idea that the 9/11 terrorists had entered the US via Canada when not one of them actually did enter that way. Undoubtedly, some do enter from Canada but lots of bad guys come up here from the US also. That is part of living in countries where we have the freedom to move around.
As far as dope goes, doesn't most of it get into the US across your southern border from Mexico?
I think that the seals are shot now. Hitting them in the head with a bat was considered to be cruel by the Europeans. That video they always show on TV was actually shot about 20 or 30 years ago.
I do not feel at all ashamed for living relatively close to the US border. Why should I?
I have never put tomato juice in my beer and the US has some great brews. Fat Tire, Yuengling, Sam Adams Summer Ale (great on a hot day), and many, many others are all very good beers. However, I do not consider Bud Light, Miller Light, and Coors Light to be very good at all.

Wayne,
You can't blame the Bud Light on the U.S.any more since Anheuser Bush sold the brewery some time ago to I believe it was some brewery in Germany. I just hope he never sold them the Clydesdales.
