Beautiful cars. When I was building my car it was, of course, a completely different animal, having the Carbon fiber body already formed, but the parts I really enjoyed the most was the fitting of the aluminum inner fenders, fuel tank surround, wheel arches, cockpit, etc... all the little intricate pieces that made the car "work". Once you have those pieces done, one at a time you start to really see a car under all that work.
Having references like these really helped with some of the pieces I was unfamiliar with so I was able to fabricate pieces to fit areas as needed. How many cars do you have in que right now? Are most left in bare/brushed aluminum, or do some get painted? Bob |

I currently have a few of my alloy builds going on, all these cars will be painted. One is currently being painted at this time. This build will be off to paint as soon as the other car is finished being painted. New customers are always welcome of course.:) Quote:

This one is really starting to take shape, I got the rear bulkhead made up and fitted, then fitted one of our hand formed alloy rear inner fenders. I needed to fill some orders on roll bars, so I used this car as the test bed for our new roll bars.
We are now able to offer complete roll bar setups in both original and 1.5 OD diameters. Thanks to a forum member here on club cobra with an original csx 3k car, and with his help we have a very nice representation of the correct style roll bar setup. Here is a picture setting up the main hoop. |
You should be very proud of what you put into that car the thing leaves me speechoes. That is some amazing workmanship.

The last few day's I was able to finish up the trans tunnel and get the dash panel made.
Still need to make the cut outs for gauges and switches etc . |

Next up I wanted to complete the steering mock up, after making most of the components and using one of our hand finished 16 inch steering wheels we can now tick that job off the list.
Also got the dash cut for switches and gauges. |

The last big cut outs for this one is for the exhaust pipes, as with the hood scoop opening we put a nice rolled edge around the opening. In my opinion the rolled edges look much nicer than just a straight cut out. That's just about it for this roller, time to blow it apart and off to paint.:) |

Project fuel Cap,
my client sent me his Enots fuel cap, the base was in bad shape and the mounting holes were not setup for a cobra. I welded the old mounting holes, cleaned up the flange in the lathe then drilled the new 6 mounting holes. Then I made up a 4 inch fill neck to match the large 42 gallon fuel tank fill neck. I also have the red gaskets and spacers to clock the fuel cap to the base flange available if anybody is interested for that original touch. Nice touch for his build:) |
