A little bit of elevation really has an effect.
If the camera was placed the same distance at the same height, and preferable the same color and light, we'd be on to something.
The ERA looks more accurate than the Kirkham, and we know that's not the case.
Then you need to find a set of comparison photos on the Kirkham site.

What Kirkham? there is no kirkham is those photos. If you claim my photos (yes I took them my self) are awful, then why dont you post some of yours? SMH

Now Mike, you know Rodney is barely a half step over a moron, but I think he might be referring to my post in which I included this link to the comparison photos. Compare car profiles

I was referring to the pics on the ERA site, showing profiles with different distances and heights. As a comparison, it's pretty bad.

Sorry for the confusion, ERA626. No need to get riled up.

Make that a quarter step.

If I send ERA a better pic of a KMP, will ERA hand crank their site and change it?

Only after artfully Photoshopping it to make it appear less attractive.

I am sorry to say that, but to be able to compare minor body details and differences from pictures, the pictures should be made with exactly the same focus width, length and heights and, of course, from the same position, otherwise you can reason ...nothing...

Huh? the differences between these 3 cars are obvious in the photos I posted, if you cant see them than perhaps you are not capable to know the difference between a SPF/CSX/ERA...

This is a CSX 6000 series car as you can see its almost identical to the KMS and the original. The ass end of the ERA seems to be a bit longer.

I really hope you are joking peter, as we are not discussing wheels here. The "black one" is a very nicely build SPF car

KMS and CSX ( continuation Cobras) look the closest to the original Cobra, the others not so much. But it’s all good, they’re all replicas at the end of the day, have fun and drive ‘em like you stole ‘em!

It’s a fallacy to say that one replica looks closer to an original than another, at least in the case of ERA vs. Kit “X”. As stated earlier in this thread, ERA’s body was taken directly from Peter Portante’s original car. Kind of hard to say it’s not “accurate”, or is “less accurate”, than another manufacturer’s kit.

It comes down to personal preference of one shape vs. another. To my eye ERA’s body has always looked the best, and I started ogling Cobra kits back when the choices were basically between Butler, Contemporary, and ERA. Hell, I’ve seen ERAs parked next to original cars and preferred the ERA. Again, that’s simply down to my personal preference.

Not to muddy things further here, but weren’t the bodies for either the KMP or the CSX cars taken from the “original” (i.e., Tom D’Antonio) Hi-Tech cars? Which, themselves, were taken from (I seem to recall) two different CSX cars? If so, then whichever of those came from the Hi-Tech cars were, themselves, a second-generation body.

Kirkham and current CSX cars have no relationship with the original Hi Tech. Hi Techs 427 body was molded off CSX3190. Ive seen the plug used to make subsequent molds. I don't remember what car(s) Kirkham and therefore Shelby, used but I seem to remember it was a couple different ones that were scanned, not molded.
