IIRC, there was at one time a lively market for ERA's "in-line" numbers...people sold or traded their place in line, especially if they were not in a hurry.
You might check, but the last time I looked the deposit was refundable if you decided after taking the plunge that you could not go through with the build.
ERA's reputation is first class, I think of them as the gold standard in 'glass replicas. That's why so many people are anxious for their products...
I fancy one of their GT40 MKI replicas  , and a 289FIA Cobra model  , as well.
