I was up at Tony's last week just after he had painted the car. Looks great and I'm sure worth the wait. I was in NB this past evening and saw it again.

You've posted here that Tony is an artist, and you are right. It looks like he put on some extra clear coat and did a really great job wet sanding. Since I changed my mind at the last minute, I'm very glad that I had the wait!

Jeffy it looks really good and Tony did wonderful work.
Starting to feel "real" now, isn't it? I know for me, talking about the Cobra before seeing the body painted was was like talking about something that really didn't exist.

I hope to get up there within the next week or two to check on my build.

Saw your car when I was at ERA and love the color. In fact, there are three 427s in progress in different shades of blue and all look great.

I'll look forward to monitoring your progress!

 | Jeff, thanks for the report on the "sighting"! Yes, mine's the 'blue' one! I'll be watching your progress as well. Glad that you changed your mind, I'm sure you now feel it was worth the wait.

Thanks Jeffy; I couldn't quite tell if that was mine or not. I miss it; I hope it will be done soon. I know exactly how you feel.
I am really excited for you; I am guessing you have been through a lot with this car already. Please keep the pictures coming.

I really like the way the spats look on my FIA (even though I went a little overboard in "contouring" them; it had to be done) with the silver color and the old style FIA wheels. In my opinion, the FIA still edges out the 427 body style.
I think I am going to pick my car up next week; I will of course, spend a couple of hours at ERA checking out everyone else's car; it never gets old.

 Hey Guys ...
I was at ERA last Thursday and Friday (8/27/09 & 8/28/09) for my first visit ... Wow!

It was wonderful to meet all of the great people at ERA, and to see my car start to take shape (FIA 2136 - fresh out of the mold).

Below are some recent photos to add to the mix ... all of the cars look great, I spent a lot of time looking at all of them.

I have a few more photos ... send me a PM and let me know which one is yours and I can email you some pictures.

Regards,

- Tim

Great pictures of the finishing shop! My car's the one on the left in photo 3.
As I understand it, they expect to finish up the silver one on the lift this week.

Ray,

By the time I left on Friday afternoon, the silver FIA on the lift was just about ready to start up. I believe the owner was scheduled to pick it up this week ... anybody know who's car it is?

Are you next on the lift ???
