Nah if he could he would sold that bucket of bolts Kirkum and bought it a long time ago. Rod can't afford a GT40.

Well, if I really get out my "portable" adding machine (like the one below), take a look at what expenses I can cut, maybe take a few shortcuts here and there, say, maybe build a simple no-frills pedestrian 302/4bbl, I'm reasonably sure I could swing a GT40 replica.

Unfortunately, due to size limitations, you know, fitting those broad shoulders from all those Russian Kettlebell Swings, Romanian Deadlifts and Bulgarian Split Squats (have you noticed alot of exercises come from the old Soviet Union?) and the fact there's no friggin' windows, meh, I'll pass.

I prefer my mid-60's replicas to be roadsters.

Guys.
Give it up.
This jumped the shark six pages ago.

Mike, I know you are just having fun and Rod I know you are just tossing it back, but there are people out there that really think this is serious.

Step back and look. Do you REALLY want to be defined by these posts?

Communication over.

That price is a bargain compared to what you would pay for mine. Believe me I could sell it tomorrow for $200k.

This video just in from CO. The local SPF GT40's owners met and here's the video of the meeting. Mike D, our resident troll, is the one with the wine glass:

For a replica, tribute, reproduction, clone, kit car, copy, forgery, etc.?

In white, the window trim color of my house?

With a 302/4bbl?

Uh, can't forget it's got a "Lemaze" cam too?

And not running?

At about $115,000-ish for a roller plus a few options, add a 302/4bbl, ZF and installation, you might hit $150,000. $200K? Puh-leeze. Stop, you're killing me here.

Get off the Ganja Mike. Time for intervention.

The details matter. Bead tumbled castings make is so much easier to keep new looking. Exhaust fabrication next. The entire car has handmade everywhere

You must be in sales. But, I'm not buying handmade (produced in South Africa) , because you changed gauges or foot pedals or even bead tumbled some castings. Zzzzzzzzzzz.

It's a nice replica, painted in a dull color with an unimaginative engine/fuel choice, but if you're interested in seeing something more along the lines of custom, check out Dean Lampe's RCR. Now that's what I call custom! Every car he's built, a couple Cobras and a couple of GT40's at least, has been top notch.

A 2016 GT3RS. Asking $324,000, but it's a PTS (Paint To Sample) car, which raises the value. Among Porsche-philes, Mexico Blue is sought after. However, I doubt the seller will get that much.

So angry Rod. I kind of agree with Rick. I post good content that people want to see which is why the thread has the views. Then you hate on it. It's not interesting so I quit

Everyone but you can visit the SPF section on the gt40s.com site to see the completion of my car. It is going in today for exhaust fab and final bits.

I'm not angry at all, but any time someone disagrees with you, you say that they're old, fat, angry, etc. If you would start a build thread, then start a build thread. If you need an example, then use Dean Lampe's RCR build thread. But leave out the attitude and nonsense. As for your "posting good content" here's some of your greatest "content" for those people just checking in here:

There were the insults directed towards "Kirkums":

There was the challenge of Cobra #3170 in a race, which you quickly backed out of when you realized, he was an accomplished race car driver with alot of nice super fast cars:

Then, calling all of us fat here on CC, yet I bet you that based on a simple hydrostatic body fat test, you would lose in any contest with me. Of course, you backed down from this challenge too:

Rodknock,
Thank so much for that wrap up. That was freaking hilarious! Summed it all up in one post.
Can't say I'm not entertained by MHNCO, though.
But MHNCO's attention to detail says "hot-rodder" to me, not "race car driver". BTW, no offense, MHNCO. Take it from a fat, old hot-rodder

In a million years I could not care enough to spend the amount of time Rod spent to compile that post. Holy crap Rodney! This thread means a lot more to you than it does me...

The only thing on my mind this weekend is the system being built for my 40. It's the final piece of the puzzle. Life is good!

and talk about "heat-treated".

Are the brackets and springs that appear to be welded to the top of the collectors there to reduce the amount of vibration that the collector/exhaust absorbs? If so, does that really work?
