Mike, maybe if you beg 3170 and give him a $100, for the trouble, he might take you for a ride. And make sure you park your SPF far away with the other replicas. The Carrera GT, 918's and the new and old Ford GT's will park up front along with the other supercars.

Supercars yes... One sounds like a tractor and the other one is. I guess I would allow him to tow me in so I don't have to soil my GT40 driving through that puddle out front. Is that bumper off an F150?

I have no idea what's wrong with you.

However, messing with the bull? You? Come on, don't you have enough manure spread over at CC... Give up a 991 GT3 for a Superformance GT40?.

I was not even near to "take a shot" at you.

PS: Please pay attention to the forums rule #2

PSS: Yeah, something is missing! (that you can call "a shot")

You accidentally stumbled into one of the "Keeping up with the Kardashians" type of threads. It happens from time to time here, and apparently we like it judging from the number of replies and views. I have to admit I checked on it from time to time. Like a moth to a flame I guess.

I would love to continue this banter and watch the chiding, but I will be off line for a few weeks. Taking the family on vacation. Going to try to connect with BUZZ while there.
So, continue on gentlemen. I will check in when I can.

That must be a SBF owner thing some of them are willing to pay for a used one more than it would cost to build a new one
Also I noticed they are always the first one's at cars and coffee shows etc to show off their "Race Car" but very hard to convince to come to the race track

Interesting...
The natter has morphed into a replica GT40 getting more attention at car shows than a "chrome kirkhum".

It's that or listening to Rod natter on for weeks about how much he can clean and jerk. What the heck does that even mean Rod? On second thought, no need to explain.

Maui, SPF dollars for an ERA is going to be a tough sell. I hope you can get it but it may take awhile to locate that buyer.

This isn't a build thread, but I do enjoy them. I'm still waiting on the next update to Dean's RCR GT40 build:

I would imagine that a polished aluminum car would be annoying to anyone driving near it due to the reflections of the sun that it probably broadcasts. Why would anyone want such a thing?

A. Nice car, but Fran sells nothing cheap. I remember the whole repro magnesium wheel pricing deal.

B. You can still buy the red SPF GT40 for $133,500 obo. Ya, sure, they're going up. As we speak!

C. RHD, sill shifting, only for the purist.

D. Nice color!

You mean the one where you said Fran needed the deposit money to finance the production? That one? The wheels being offered by a guy who had just sold his GT40 for 2 mill plus? Yeah, he needed YOUR money to do the wheels!

That said, we did need to stay 20 miles from Carlisle because the hotel was six bucks cheaper! And I just committed to sharing a room with him at the Glen Vintage again. I guess I never learn................

I never said he needed my money, but as I recall, the price kept changing over the YEARS. And details were given sparingly. Need to know basis and I obviously didn't need to know.

I remember calling, and Rodneym too, the darn manufacturing plant in the midwest (Michigan?) trying to figure out how to get the molds made and not get in trouble with Halibrand. I finally figured out that $2,000/wheel wasn't worth it for my Kirkham.

Exactly! 20 miles from Carlisle for $6/night? Geez. Remind me never to book a trip to Hawaii with Fran. I might end up having to stay IN the Airport.

You are talking about a guy who slept on the floor in a Glen motel lobby because they let him stay free if he did so.

Never get in a land war in Asia, never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line and NEVER trust Fran when he says "it's a nice place". Compared to the Kress Hilton Resort ,the Bates Motel is a "nice place"
