Mike,
Some of the older chips had a code on them but not all. If you still have the papers that you should have gotten with the computer, they should tell you what kind of ram and everything else that was used in it. I always keep mine because they change so often.
Brent,
That was a great summation. Really solved most of our problems all in one step and you wind up with a new super computer.
Kristen always has to rush. I think she needs a lap top. Or a Palm Pilot.
Ron An I told you so. Didn't I say that I Mike opened up his computer he would destroy it.

Mike
Welcome back, We have been wondering what happened to you. We all thought you were out chasing the ladies. When my old computer crashed I pidled with it for about a week then I picked it up took it outside opened the trash can and dropped it in, everything. Even the printer. When this one got infected with trojans and worms I faught it tooth and nail. I finally had to to debug the hard drive, and then reload everything. I hated to throw the old one away as I thought there would be something in it I could use. But all I did was take out the hard drive and chunk the rest. The hard drive was destoyed in other ways. I wanted to be sure nothing was still in it. I am sure of that now.
Earl,
You too, you have been kinda scarce around here lately. I am glad to hear your car is coming together.
Kristen,
I think, if I make my post shorter, I'll get more of them error free. Thanks for noticing.
I have used superglue on a wound before with great results. I know the doctors will tell you not to do that. But I think the reason they tell us that is so they can charge us $1,000.00 to put in two stiches.

Hey Tru
Only three
Next time i'll try for four
Man I am tired of junk mail. I went to the post office today to get the business mail, 17 credit card "approved" nitices from the same company. I opened each one took the "enclosed envelope" wrote them a "sweet note" and mailed it back to them. Well OK maybe it wasn't too sweet. GRRRRRR

RE:Junk Mail
What I like to do is take the prepaid postage envelopes and fill them up with their stuff plus whatever else that I can fit into them.
Amazing how much your trash can empties.

I'll have to do that next time... any ideas on telemarketers? We get at least 5-10 of em callin everyday, usually around dinner and it is really annoying.

Bad as this sounds, I listened to my son.
He checks the caller ID and when he knows it is a telemarketer, he picks up the phone and screams.
I was amazed.
My most recent line has been, "well, when you can say my name correctly, you can call back."
Mike, you do not want to start on telemarketers.

New Texas Limo'
Well since I can't register a Replica in this state I decided to buy something that I should be able to register. Saw a sale on used Texas Limos and purchased one. DMV won't issue a a license for it.
