New sneakers

Any ideas on how to remove the letters?

krausewich 08-22-2016 06:59 AM

Rubber buffer or 'Rubber Prep' may do the trick. It's used before applying a tire patch on the inside of a tire. Strips release agents off. A local tire shop would likely give ya a hand. NOT sure how things react on racing tires though... I know you're not supposed to treat them with armoral, etc... so I'm not sure what the rule is on other chemicals too. Test patch the hidden side ; )

For those that know...... I am at a loss.....

Why no armoral on tires????

1795 08-24-2016 04:01 AM

I believe that it degrades the rubber.

According to ERA Chas, the best think for these racing tires is 303 Aerospace Protectant. That is what I am using to protect my Billboards during their long hibernation...

Armor All is bad JuJu. Do some research, it is forbidden on MilSpec.

Thanks guys......
Will need to get the 303
