The calipers look like the smaller Girlings, there were different sizes depending on the application.
On another note being that you are in that cold portion of this country, how about a set of these? These came off of a very early famous comp Cobra...

Wow, cool! I think 2011 used those side curtains!

I have a set 17" kidneys. My fave wheel on a cobra. I'd run them more often if they looked period correct. The 15's would have been too small for my brakes, unfortunately. Great find!

.....it appears that LMH figured it out (2011), it also appears that these windows were used on one of the FIA Cobras as well..

John

Very cool. How far back does the windshield have to be in order to use these?
Seems like the require lower angle.

Jeff

My guess is that because the windshield posts were allowed to rotate back that the angle of the windshield layback was limited by the leading edge angle (driver preference?) of the side windows. Since the FIA Cobras were the first Cobras to utilize the windshield post modification (tilt back) it would seem possible that 2011 soon received the same mods and possibly the side windows from **** as it was prepared by SAI. Phill Hill's 289 FIA Cobra sported at least a passengers side window during the 1964 Sebring races but the overall shape was distinctly different.

Jeff, are you going to use a regular windshield and get a hardtop?

1985 CCX 03-03-2015 05:58 AM

Tom

I do have a regular windshield, will use it later in season.
Hard tops are great but probably not as the soft top fits in the trunk. I have a source for one, just cant part with the cash.....%/

Going back to the wheels and cannibalising this thread, Sorry!

I still have 5 Kidney Bean wheels that were on COB 6046 in the early 80ies. I still believe that they are original. They have spline adaptors to fit the original hubs.
They were mounted just for a few rides and then stored in a dry place for approx. 30+ years. They were all the time with COB 6046 and were given to the each buyer when selling the car as additional fittings. COB 6046 was and is on wire wheels again. Mounted are still old Pirelli P5. Rims are 6.5". What do you think?

Thanks for the share......................... :D

You probably already know this. Robbins Covertible tops makes the top ERA sells. A quick google search will bring it up. I know era supplies some of the needed parts. You may need to ask Robbins what they don't include
