Sorry, tires are 275-40-17 on 10.5" wide rims Rear and 245-45-17 on 9.5" wide rims front. We had some pretty big server crashes during the early stages of my build and lost a few posts here and there. Need to know something from early on just ask. Patrick

Cool Steering my way through or One turn at a time.

Well I've made another installment in the saga I'm going to refer to as breaking the laws of physics, or making something larger on the inside than it is on the outside. We have steering and it works. It was a tight fit with the huge engine in the way but we got it all in there. Can any one guess what the column is out of? I'll give you ford but you have to be more specific. oh and it's been modified quite a bit. Thanks to everyone for the Intel on what everyone else is using. now I have to start thinking about pedals, Oh Boy oh boy. Patrick

P.S.There are more Pics in the gallery if you need more clues.

The shaft is double D steering shaft it's soild and designed for steering assemblys, the u-joints are machined to fit it perfectly. It also keeps the joints in phase, keeps them from binding. You guys are so close. Patrick

Wink P#ssing off purists or (My ugly rollbar)

Hey just a quickie bent this up for my roll bar hope you can bear it. I just never liked the double hoop look, just to busy for me. But with this one it is one piece and can be removed without taking the legs off. You will either love it or hate it, don't care It's my car. Patrick

Is Troje's sponsoring your build. I see some commercial advertising in your photo.
I say go with the bar....looks like a real safe design to me.

joey, All the tube for the control arms is 1025 dom (drawn over mandrel ) seamless.with .095 wall thickness. Some might say it's overkill, I like to overbuild every thing. Patrick

Are the axle OEM length? Shortened? I used the same IRS (Cougar) in my Slabside chassis i built But i have to shorten the axles 3" i was hoping to find a OEM a little shorter know of any? I also found the disc rear has a larger diameter shaft vs. the drum rear. I tried Taurus RS axle it's a little to short.. I'm trying to avoid making axles i like OEM parts i case i brake one 400 mi. away...
