ACs sell for less.

I try to rationalize things................The cost to construct a painted ally cobra roller is about 70-75k, (judging by Kirkham's pricing and then adding paint).
Shelby is adding $90k to the bottom line just for the "Shelby" name, not even signed by Carroll, so I don't see the value.
I would not expect a rational human to purchase a vehicle knowing this .
You are into '67 GT500 range for gosh sakes, real, original, Shelbys!!
Just MHO of course.

The dead hand can still sign from the grave... you just need to find the right lawyers to facilitate it.

I heard a rumor that they are "cloning" CS ?
Would that make him Real? Continuation? or Replica?

BTW, when it comes to signatures, one that is clearly tied to the individual car itself is in a different class than just a plain signature. You can buy his signature, or a glove box door, without too much difficulty. But, that may be changing....

You bet, I have all kinds of car crap signed by him, just had to either make a donation to his charity or buy a car. That should slow down soon...............

Robo signing is now taking place, duly authorized by the estate of C.S.

Bill, have you considered starting a registry for CS signatures? That way we can keep track of "original" versus "continuation" signatures.

Yep, I believe you and I discussed this over beer................Gary Patterson told me the electronic version of the signature will not have Carroll's 2 // marks through the horizontal bar under his signature.

CSX4308 just listed for sale at $175,000, but was finished by Kirkham:
Here's An Interesting CSX4000 (or is it)?

Why is it that every time some one mentions a Shelby CSX car it degenerates into this same topic? I started reading about a price increase and once again it's back to the same old and tired run on with the same people saying the same things and adding nothing new.
About the price increase: The price of a finished roller was at one time tracking very well to the price of a Ford GT. But today a low miles Heritage sold for 377500, so now the GT has been redefined once again. People are now paying 30K more for a red car than I paid for my heritage in the fall of 2011. If you're going to buy another GT, buy it now or wait for the GT market to crash. I suspect if you do the latter you'll wait for a long time and you won't see the prices from two years ago.

There's always information, discussion, arguments, etc. that is repeated on every forum.
As an example, I know you own a FGT, which has been posted by you more than once.

Standard supply / demand scenario.
Shelby will keep on asking that price as long as someone will pay it. If there is a waiting list for them and they have buyers, they will keep making them and selling them for that price and above if they can.
Fairly simple actually.

Real 1
I'm a bit naive to all of this "mines Real yours is not".....
But in Australia we call it a pissing competition - who can piss the further or the highest.

And in this case, the pissing is upwind.
But it's all a lot of fun. The arguments going around in circles year after year. Evan desperately hanging onto the registry while ignoring a federal judge's ruling; which called the continuation cobras 'replicas' and 'kits'. Others bringing up the original vs real vs replica over and over. It would be great if we could all meet in a bar somewhere and have this discussion live with lots of beer, whiskey, and peanuts.
