Ten years removed from my SB100 ordeal, I still have a bad taste left in my mouth. I'd rather buy a Cobra with an existing SB100 exemption, if I had to do it all over again.

Long story, which I detailed here a very long time ago, I remember having to chase around a FedEx truck driver for my REVISED SB100 certificate, because at my original visit on January 2nd, 2008, I believe, the DMV mixed up my paperwork with another gentleman applying for an SB100 exemption. He got my SB100 certificate and I got his SB100 certificate. And that was just the darn initial DMV visit, never mind the BAR referee "kicking me to the curb" for failing to do something (paperwork or mechanical, can't recall now), thus having to make another appt. and come back.

I'm sure getting a dimwit at the DMV or a difficult BAR inspector are issues that haven't disappeared or been resolved in the last 10 years.

Ehhhhh, how hard can it be? Just do like Ron said and go to a friendly DMV, throw money in whatever direction they point, and soon you'll be dancing down the aisle with your SB100 in hand.

I think the OP needs a motorhome. Nothing too extravagant but nice. Maybe king sized bed, wardrobe cabinet, kitchen, shower and dual crappers with diesel power and an electric starter.

Sort of like this one => http://www.cordeliarv.com/inventory/?search_dropdown_body=Class+A+Motorhome&search_con dition=New&search_fuel_type=Diesel

Even better, the good news is this one is marked down $50K!

Of course if you wanted to kill two birds with one stone you could get a Cobra Coach Motorhome, click here => Cobra Motorhome

Now he's cooking with gas. A Motorhome and a Cobra how much better can this get??

I like the Cobra Motorhome. My guess is the ramming index is off the chart!

Hang in there, Mr Hauss. Don't let online cobra bullies tell you how to spend your money, or rush you into a purchase. It's a buyers market.

"Online Cobra bullies"? Meeeow

I honestly think he should buy the motorhome. Does that make me an "Online Motorhome Bully"?

Speaking of felines, I think you should go check the mail and see if there's a coupon there for cat supplies at Midtown Petco.

Eight pages and I still don't understand the title - Frustrated with Superformance. What's the problem with them? They make a high quality product and their value in a used state is set by the enthusiasts market appreciation for them. If they are too expensive for the budget then for a turnkey type car the Backdraft is probably the most comparable but usually priced lower. After that you are getting into owner-built replica cars which you don't appear interested in. None of them are perfect, especially in the drivetrain system as each is individually motored and many of them with a lot more power and torque than the rest of the drivetrain was ever designed for. They are all hobby and enthusiast cars that take a higher level of maintenance and repair than new cars. My theory is if you can't wrench on the car yourself you don't want one of these.

But anyway, good luck with the search.

It could have just as easily been "Frustrated with Kirkham, ERA, CSX, Bugatti, and Koenigsegg." It's really no different than if hauss wanted to move in to RodKnock's neighborhood. The real estate values would make his teeth fall out. But, it is what it is, and if he really wants one of these cars, in a "high quality" condition (whatever that means), then he needs to dig down deep in to his pocket, past the lint balls and Kleenex remnants, and just bite the bullet and come out with some serious coin....

First off we are talking about superformance ,because that is the car I was wanting. Secondly When a car is advertised for one price then changes 3 times it makes one confused ,dare I say even frustrated! Next time talk to BUZZ before trying to get at me he always has something smart to say.

I don't even own a wrench ....the Superformance I had for years was a very simple car, dependable and trouble free.....they have no power or abs brakes, no power steering or windows, no power top, or anything....compared to a modern car they are simple to repair or maintain. Very very basic almost like a 1940's car...

Actually SPFs do have vacuum boosted brakes. But the rest of the car is from the age of iron and if you know righty-tightly, lefty-loosely you can work on them.

I own an awesome tool set, "my old man is a TV repairman," but more importantly, I have a credit card and a check book too.

Yep, if you want to get your Cobra repaired, butterfly kisses is probably as good a first step as any.
