Looking good DV...

Sent you a PM about the drive shaft and the tubing.

Let me know if there's anything else you need. Have a good weekend and don't work to much. People are starting to comment on our work habits ;)

Double Venom 08-30-2008 05:34 AM

Cpteddie,
You have FR steering wheel D-FR20130BK, you have the horn button kit but I can not find the necessary adapter # FR20160AD which is sold seperately.
This wheel may take a plastic cover between the adapter and the wheel (?) which is also missing, including a heavy duty spring. Also missing. The fine tooth nut on top of the column which this wheel may or not use is also not available. I do have the six bolts for the wheel but that is all.

A call to FR for the adapter and the necessary parts, if needed, needs to be ordered so we can steer this thing 1800-648-8022, Thank you Sir, your attention to this would be greatly appreciated-unless it is in the shop in a hidden spot again!

Sure would like to steer this baby monster!

Nothing comes up under that part # at FR or Summit.

Not sure if there will be anyone at Fr on a Saturday, but I'll try calling them in a couple of hours.

I have the round center horn disc. Remember you said the logo reminded you of Factory 5 and I said I'll take that with me and see if I can get something a little more custom made, but thats the only piece I took.

Double Venom 08-30-2008 08:45 AM

OK,
The numbers are NOW right. The ....160AD is an accessory part that is needed to mount the wheel. I doubt if Summitt would have anything needed on the accessory side.
On the other side, Chad finally, after over 40 parts found the right adapters to the tranny and I am putting them in now. Stainless #6 to Stainless #10 to the oil cooler.
Sorry about the mistyping.
DV

capteddie 08-30-2008 03:59 PM

Well....

Still nothing comes up on Flaming Rivers site when I search for 160AD

I'll call them first thing Tuesday and give them the part # of the wheel and the column and get what we need.

Double Venom 08-30-2008 05:37 PM

Ed
the 160... is the last series of the correct number instead of what I sent you the first time. Sorry if I got confusing. Lets try this one more time:

FR20160AD IS the correct complete number.

You will have to ask them if a large Plastic shaped dish is needed with this column/wheel and that we do not have the "nut" that normally holds a steering wheel on? (I doubt if this wheel uses that type of nut but without seeing the adapter, the mentioned number, I don't know including a heavy gauge spring that is normally used, may not be used with this wheel.
I hope that I have made this somewhat understandable this time!

Gotcha Pal !!!!!

I'll call them first thing Tuesday morning and get you what you need. :D

capteddie 08-30-2008 07:10 PM

OK DV...

Found this off the last part # you gave me
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
I'll still call FR on Tuesday and see if we're missing anything else.

Just came across your question "anybody need a Roll Bar"I just started searching for the roll bar for my CRII Cobra.....so where do I get one???

Please help!!!

Steve Townsend

Double Venom 09-02-2008 03:45 AM

Steve,
I'm just getting re-started, left, right or a four point? All bars will meet NHRA rules and be 2" DOM material. Working out the cost as we speak with the new prices of steel.

Ordering:
DV
4905 Wayne Rd.
Pentwater, Mich, 49449
1-231-425-6823
H-1-231-869-4608

v10doublevenom@peoplepc.com

Deposits only! No roll bar will be paid for in full until I have them in stock finished and ready to ship.

Stainless, chromemolley are not available but I can get them powder coated for you in any available powder coat color, or just ship them plain.

DV

A true 5-point is available but the cost is rather extensive but the center bar is removable if wanted, MEETS Every racing sanction requirement.
