Guys,
Sorry I can't be more detailed in my answer here; we are just too busy. We are going flat out right now. We had a record year and we are completely sold out, as in-- completely, utterly, sold out. I can't deliver anything to a new customer until April 2016--maybe June 2016. I have turned down work all year. That is something we have never done before.
Regarding the CSX3000 "Continuation Cars" (at least that is what I think they are calling them) we have already made one. It was sold before we finished it. Bill DenBeste spared no expense. He wanted everything RIGHT.
Bill gave us a ton of original parts to work with. Bill has a MOUNTAIN of original parts. I have no idea where he got all of them. (Some from Mike McCluskey, some from Shelby, and probably some from God). I mean he has a literal MOUNTAIN of goodies. He has original, copper radiators, original 16 inch steering wheels, original switches--still in the Lucas packages. It is fascinating to walk through his treasure trove. Smaug would be jealous of that hoard. There are parts in there I have never, ever seen before (keep in mind I have been working on Cobras now for over 25 years).
Bill and Joe Conway wanted everything perfectly correct and handed us a chassis, a pile of parts, and told us to go for it. The cars are literally clones of the original Cobras. If you placed one of them beside an original car at a show and you saw some difference I can tell you the error will most likely be with the original car.
Partial list of the specs:
many parts are original--as in I took them out of the original box.
some parts are EXACT reproductions. (And yes, some are Kirkham reproductions made from billet but you'd be very hard pressed to figure out they weren't original). You know, if we got something wrong (probably did) let me know and we will improve! There is an extreme level of commitment here on the part of Bill and Joe.
Goodies include:
original copper radiator
original fuel log
original 1 3/8 roll bar
Lucas switches/electrical
Lucas headlights (still in the box)
original seat tracks
original iron differential
original 1/2 shafts
original 1965 iron side oiler block
original 1965 forged steel 427 crank
Shelby heads (new Shelby heads). I really don't mind they are "new" heads in the slightest--Bill makes really nice stuff.
Top Loader transmission
Original reproduction suspension
solid rotors--like original
Girling reproduction brake calipers (Kirkham billet, you can't tell the difference--they are SWEET pieces made from high heat resistant 2219 aluminum).
original, in the box, voltage regulator
original, in the box, Lucas electrical everywhere
Smith's gauges
Original Lucas wiper motor!!! (Impossible to find)
These are sweet, sweet rides. Really the only "upgrade" we did was with the fuel lines. They are all Teflon lined, braided stainless with stainless fittings. These cars will sit around for a LONG time and rubber hoses are not something I'd put on my ride with all the alcohol in the fuel today. Bill even had the original rubber hoses and fittings!!! I just convinced him to not put them on.
Are they worth it? Some guys hang art in their home. Other guys park Cobras in their living room. I'd love to own one of these. They are all part of the great Shelby story.
I am thrilled to be involved in the project.
David

Woah. This is better than any of us could have imagined. I heard of Bill's 'accumulation' but I didn't know that it went that far.
David,
Any more info on your billet Girlings? I remember seeing pics a while ago but I can't remember details. Will they be for sale?

David out of the list what are the differences from a Current Kirkham 427SC or a past Kirkhams aside from original NOS parts?
Goodies include:
original copper radiator: Do Kirkhams use dimensionally the same size radiators
original fuel logcan vary with build
original 1 3/8 roll barsize of standard Kirkham rollbars?
Lucas switches/electricalsource of standard Kirkham switches. Are they the same aesthetically?
Lucas headlights (still in the box)
original seat tracksWhat is difference from Kirkham seat tracks?
original iron differential Is it dimensionally the same?
original 1/2 shaftsAre they dimensionally the same as Kirkham and are they different material?
original 1965 iron side oiler block
original 1965 forged steel 427 crank
Shelby heads (new Shelby heads). I really don't mind they are "new" heads in the slightest--Bill makes really nice stuff.

No, the original radiator is very thick--it is like a 3 1/2 or a 4 inch core. Our radiator is aluminum and has a 2 1/2 inch core. We make them here in our shop.
original fuel logcan vary with build
The original fuel log is a 7/8 round tube of steel with dual feeds welded to it. The intake is a 1/4 NPT and the outlet is also a 1/4 NPT. The outlet connects to the fuel pressure gauge in the dash. Today we run the outlet to a bypassing fuel pressure regulator which circulates fuel back into the tank--this greatly reduces vapor locking.
original 1 3/8 roll barsize of standard Kirkham rollbars?
We use a 1 1/2 inch roll bar. That is pretty much mandated by all sanctioning bodies now.
Lucas switches/electricalsource of standard Kirkham switches. Are they the same aesthetically?
We use K-Four switches. I just couldn't take the Price of Darkness anymore.
Lucas headlights (still in the box)
original seat tracksWhat is difference from Kirkham seat tracks?
We make both the original track (bent sheet metal and VERY expensive) and our a billet aluminum seat track.
original iron differential Is it dimensionally the same?
We make an aluminum differential that is very close. We also make one that has several upgrades we "borrowed" from the Ford 9" and F1. We use a screw in side axle housing now that makes adjustments much easier. The locking mechanism for the screw in housings I got from a friend who makes parts for F1. We use billet aluminum mounts. The original mounts were forged steel on top and a fabricated sheet metal mount on the front.
original 1/2 shaftsAre they dimensionally the same as Kirkham and are they different material?
We use a CV jointed 1/2 shaft now.
original 1965 iron side oiler block
original 1965 forged steel 427 crank
Shelby heads (new Shelby heads). I really don't mind they are "new" heads in the slightest--Bill makes really nice stuff.
Top Loader transmission
Original reproduction suspension What is difference from Kirkham suspension in the 427SC?
WOW. Long answer. We still make all the original suspension parts. We supply them to customers all over the world. We also make a suspension that is pretty much carved from a block of aluminum. The block we start with for the front upright is over $300 (each side).
solid rotors--like original
Girling reproduction brake calipers (Kirkham billet, you can't tell the difference--they are SWEET pieces made from high heat resistant 2219 aluminum). What is difference from Kirkhams?
We still make the original rotors. We also make the original calipers, but carved out of a block of aluminum. They are sweet parts. On our "normal" rides we use Wilwood calipers and rotors. Shelby 50th's have our billet suspension with Wilwood calipers and rotors. We just started using even larger calipers last week!
original, in the box, voltage regulator
original, in the box, Lucas electrical everywhere
Smith's gauges
Original Lucas wiper motor!!! (Impossible to find)
Pricing on the new cars?

[Kirkhams] Start at $99,995 and go to the moon--literally. We can make just about anything you can dream up.
[I don't know what the CSX3000 pricing is].

$5,000 for the set of 4. They are raced on all over the world. Lead time is a few weeks. We have made a bunch of them.

Joe is a great guy. We have a lot in common.
I'd love for him to pop in. No doubt he could fill in details (and correct anything I've messed up )

Don't know about your "English" but your name calling and maturity level is improving....approximately 7th grade level now. Yeah, about that I would say.
