Yes, I regurgitated this on purpose. In the other regurgitated thread, I mentioned that I would find an old thread and make a random comment in it. I ended up grabbing this classic that was still open (most of these diatribes are closed). But I ended up not posting a random question (as was done to restart the other thread), but just decided to give this one a sarcastic post to see what would happen.

I was pleased to see that it sat quietly for 2-1/2 days. It really was surprising to see that everyone was able to hold their tongues. But alas, it was not to be.

One of these days there will be a national "Is it real" conference. We will all get together face-to-face and hammer this out. Then an official publication will come out that will declare the official responses approved by the Is It Real committee. There will be training videos showing you how to respond and also followup responses depending upon what the comeback is from the inquirer.

Local chapters will be formed to adjust the responses to the local vernacular. The local chapters will have workshops where people can practice their answers in real-world situations.

Finally, there will be tests at random car meets where we will send in secret is-it-real testers who will go up to fake Cobras and ask them "Is it real?" and record their responses.

....and all I'm drinking is a soda water.
