Prince Albert of Monaco's Car Collection

The monarch of Monaco, Prince Albert has a massive car collection of over 100 vehicles including at least a dozen F1 cars. These two cars in his collection gained my attention as they were both brand new with no miles on the clock. One is a 1955 300SL Mercedes Gullwing Coupe and the other a beautiful Austin Healey 100/6.

Of all the cars there (which are all desirable in their own way)
I'd take the Issota ! What a great car;)

Baz, the blue car behind the Healey, is that a Sunbeam ?
Or is it the car Grace Kelly drove in ' To catch a Thief" ?

Rog,

It's a 1954 Sunbeam Alpine two seat Roadster.

Baz

Thought it might have been. My dad would have sold his soul for one of them !!
Wouldn't mind putting a fiver on it being the car that (the Prince) his mum drove in 'to catch a thief'

Lexluther 06-17-2014 04:00 AM

Great photos
I to have a soft spot for the Issota, we built one a few years back for Sunset blvd the musical

http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/pict...002291&thumb=1

it only has one good side and is made from steel, plywood and fiberglass

Jamo 06-18-2014 10:27 PM

Wonderful stuff...thanks.

Issota...yup.

I saw a fella with a bumper sticker saying:
"I am a vet, therefore I drive like an animal."

Suddenly I realised how many gynaecologists
there are on the roads.

Rog246 07-08-2014 02:09 PM

I got to thinking today,

Socrates was poisoned

Julius Caesar was stabbed to death.

Napoleon died in exile.

Abraham Lincoln was shot.

Gandhi was shot.

Kevin Rudd was Gillardteened.

Being THORPEDO'D has taken on a different connotation.

And it is interesting to note the Australian Commonwealth Games Swimming Team will rally BEHIND Mr Thorpe ???!!!

Rog246 07-14-2014 11:04 PM

"Not that there is anything wrong with that" according to Seinfield

Two State Troopers driving north on a Southern Freeway. The Bobbit female is driving in the opposite direction and chucks the offending cock out of her window.

It strikes the windscreen of the approaching State Troopers Patrol car.. One officer looks at the other and says, " Man. Did you see the size of the cock on that insect?"

Interestingly - during his interview he said he didn't think Australia would want their Champion to be Gay, - so he must have thought Australia wanted it's Champion to be a liar instead!
$400,000 for the interview! he must have run out of money

Rog246 07-16-2014 05:21 AM

Geez Onyx...are you being cynical or what !!

Next thing you know he'll run for parliament !!

Aussie Mike 07-16-2014 04:30 PM

For $400,000 I'd be leaping out of the closet
